Why does my mother hate me so?

Wow, just how annoying loud were you as a kid, that seems like an awful lot of revenge. If they are from other people of child bearing age I hope you are keeping a list. Payback and all that. when my brothers started learning to play the drums for real something about them practicing would make the baby next door take a nice long nap. Mom couldn't believe the lady next door would sometimes come over and beg her kids to practice the drums.

Pretty soon I envision hundreds of weensie Duesys encirling our back yard. It's a simple vision, but chocolate bars would never work. Except for the racoons. I will re-gift the block of horror to someone who has expressed their love in the past.

I don't like the paranoia either, Gothmog, but I also cannot ignore its presence, especially when I have traveled to Tehran (and Mashhad) in the past decade. Yes, change is in the winds, as it always has been. There's no way I'd travel to Tehran now as before (i.e., expect scrutiny upon arrival). Yet, I'd like to again to return there to meet those who I already know through our work together. I oft wonder if Americans in...

OK. just to make conversation -- I'll take a wild stab and nominate the skunk as my SS. Nothing to go on other than the fact that he's still available. Plus - *using a straight on-line order avoids the obvious Canada Post clue. *A Greek name on the invoice -- what better way to divert from a Canadian-Irish-Mephitidae identity? *He's got Irish beer on his siggie. Irish breakfast tea was included. Of course, I could be wrong -- A...

Tales of The Christmas Spirit
Published (2009-12-27 16:52:00)
http://cbs13.com/local/store.safeway.after.2.1392070.html Shoppers wandered around two Safeway grocery stores last night, even though the buildings were supposed to be locked. A 24-hour Roseville Safeway was supposed to be closed on Christmas. At least, that was the plan. Store employee Tom Brick was busy opening presents with his family when he received a troubling call. "Yesterday, I Roseville Police called me and said the store was...

Wow! Me thinks I should have had some shipped here. Ours were about $5 per pound, which would be $30 just for the meat. We opted to go with about 4 pounds. Oh, we're making in a bit. Samboobree, brought to life by Arkie

That looks yummy! I'm glad that it doesn't have mocha in it. Usually mud in a recipe equals coffee and I don't like the flavor! I will save that recipe for sometime when I need to make a birthday cake. Enjoy! Dash Away by Agman - bobbled by Tribe

From one parent to another, the solution for those kinds of gifts is to tell the child, "That's a special gift from Grandma, so special that it has to stay at her house." If it makes you feel any better, DD got a singing, light-flashing snowman as a Christmas gift. In addition to being gaudy and very large, the thing is also loud LOUD LOUD ! I'm lobbying to put it...

If you are not going to play aggressively you don't take the game seriously. I mean only weenies fly under the radar! If you're a {Reality TV} juror, you don't have to put aside anything! You have the ultimate power of your own reckless, irrational whimsy! That is the absolute essence of the game. --Linda Holmes

Can Santa insert a tube in my eardrum while he is here? Hopefully we can just do it when I see the ENT in two weeks. In the meantime, buy stock in decongestants. Although I have learned some new tricks with the neti pot, it's like do it yourself waterboarding. At least it makes the ear feel better for a few hours. Nothing like trying to drown yourself 2-4 times a day...

The Festivus Pole: The Costanzas' tradition begins with an aluminum pole, which Frank praises for its "very high strength-to-weight ratio." The Airing of Grievances: At the beginning of the Festivus dinner, each participant tells friends and family of all the instances where they disappointed him or her that year. The Feats of Strength: After the dinner, the head of...

Well I will take this thread (or at least my part) the other way. I spent yesterday afternoon and this morning helping with a local gift bank for kids. I heard on the radio that they needed drivers (ideally with larger vehicles) so I cleaned out my van and went to work. The job involved driving around to the various drop boxes (which are in banks) and collecting all ...

Evidently not! I'd wager, though, people in the southern part of the state here are happier than those up north near Chicago, with Indy somewhere in the middle. "Happiness is where your heart is, not where your feet stand." -- cahaya (A saying of mine after people in Malaysia asked me if I was happier there or here.)
