That means he'll be ready around the end of February at the earliest, and the end of April at the latest. For some strange reason, our medical staff always issues overly optimistic timetables. Chances are, he'll be ready in April. Basically, if the Wizards are still in contention, we may see Haywood. If they're not, Haywood...

Probably. Late March or April would be the time frame for any type of return.

JaVale wouldn't grab his hand to get helped up. I liked that. During the post game interview he was all business Phil and Steve kept trying to get him to smile but he was all business he finally cracked a smile at the end. The kid is the real deal....

He's basically everything you want out of your starting point guard - good ball-handler, good passer, doesn't turn it over, good shooter, can penetrate...

I think AD is done and should be traded ASAP. I'd start Young and make DS the PG. DS played well next to Mason last year.

At the start of the season, once we heard Haywood was out for the season and Arenas was out until January, many of us were despondent. The team was trapped in purgatory. The team wasn't bad enough to get a high lotto pick, and there wasn't much reason for optimism in coming years. None of our youngsters really had star potential except perhaps Blatche. We all thought Young was a one-...

Hey guys, I'm new to the area and I'd love to go to the Portland game, but none of the friends I've made since I arrived in the DC area three months ago are NBA fans. I hate going alone, so if one of you is planning on going and has a spare seat I might be interested in taking it off your hands. Thanks!

Last nights performance was brutal....I think EG is going to get his own guy in the offseason and with Arenas, Haywood coming back and with our young guns improving and maybe a top 5 lottery pick, its going to be an attractive job. Goodbye Eddie

Well, well, well. The Knicks finally get thier first competent GM since Grunfeld left. After suffering for years under Scott Layden and Isaiah Thomas, Knickerbocker fans can rely on the steady Donnie Walsh to guide them back to the playoffs. Here's what I assume will happen: 1. Isaiah Thomas will be fired. This is the first step in any NY rebuilding plan. Once he's gone, the fresh ...

i think this lost goes squarely on the shoulders of Ernie Grunfeld's lack of defensive personel decisions. None of the major players Grunfeld has brought in have the footspeed to stop guard penetration or block shots on the perimeter. Grunfeld was responsible for keeping etan thomas, bringing in blatche and signing him longterm, letting blake go, not trading jamision, drafting a bench player in ...

I was just glancing at the 82games.com numbers and noticed that Nick Young is leading the team in on/off differential. But what's more interesting is that he is leading the team in defensive on/off differential. He is also leading the team in counterpart PER allowed. On a team where every other player yields a counterpart PER of 17 or more, Young yields a PER of just 13.0. (And Young gets his...
