Quote: Posted by Courtesy of TRS Tech Section The early 1983-1992 Ranger axles are 1" shorter than the 1993-up pieces. (Both sides) meaning that the an entire Ranger axle assembly from 1993-up is 2-inches wider than 1983-1992. LINK There ya go. So it looks like your track width will be about 55.3". Although, I think your axle is only 1.5" narrower (2 seems too much), which makes your axle 55.8", which...

Fwiw, vented/heavy duty rotors arent really needed in rear brake applications since only about 30% of the braking is done w/ the rear.

Try searching for "Ranger" plus "Tow hook" and that should get you in the ballpark... Have you thought about hitting up the JY's? There ought to be quite a few old 4x4 Rangers junked with that...

I still say that your cheapest bet would be getting a 98+ coilover frame and shortening the frame to work. Or you could just get the front of the frame and hybird it with your frame. There is always the yoda clip option but then your using toyota parts.Great option if you want to bag, but for a static drop, I say keep it all ford.

Just to add, the 95+ 240sx and the infiniti j30 have the right bolt pattern, and the diffs are good to 400 hp (unlike the rx7) The 89-94 240sx rear hubs can be easily swapped to the correct 5 bolt using 95+ 240sx hubs, are a bit narrower and are cheap as dirt. Just stay away from the hicas (rear steer) models. Oh, and a bunch of the abs cars have a viscous LSD.

if your on a budget(like all of us are lol) i would go with a toyota clip, even if your not gona bag it, the geometry is better then an M2 and adding some coilovers would be easy as bolthing them inplace of the shock. it doesnt have R&P steering, but the steering does work well on them.
