Thank you btgc and januaryman! I think my choise is going to be the Oly, the konica, or the Canonet. What about other model of canonet, full manual too, but less popular then the QL17? I was watching some QL19 model, is there any other? Victor.

For a few years, I've used only a 50mm lens, but I'm more and more comfortable with the 35mm. Well, obviously it depends on the subject and the location; for street photography in a city like Paris or London, I would rather go with a 50mm.

If you shoot MF, how many rolls of 120 would you shoot in an average portrait shoot?

Shooting enough to be able to just relax while taking photos. It took me a while to be able to do this.
That, and a class I took with Mr. Charles Harbutt. It changed my life! :-)

I used to use my M7 all the time. Personal and professional work.
Now I use my M7 only occasionally for personal work and my M8 for professional work.
I'm slowly accepting digital. I think the turning point was earlier this summer when I went on a road trip and brought the M8 along instead of the M7. Before then It was always my M7, even though I've had the M8 for 3 years. My last true ...

That would probably be a good buy for you, Raid. I'd be better off saving for that R2C I can barely afford to stay in Contax which is why I sold all my Leica LTM & M mount gear. Pity I couldn't afford that IIa

I never liked pix of myself shot into a mirror. Going back to about 1962 I played around with just pointing the camera at myself. My first efforts were with an Olympus Pen with a 28mm f/3.5 lens on Kodachrome II. I then went through several years of using the little Leitz Tabletop tripod sitting on a shelf or piece of furniture together with the camera's self timer, mostly with a 19/3.5 Canon on...

Yes, I develop the negatives & take them to WalMart for scanning since I don't have a scanner hooked up to my computer yet. I also have a darkroom for wet prints in a spare bathroom.

I seldom end up making more than four frames in a single location when I'm
shooting 6x6, and rarely more than six in 35mm.

While I voted "50", it really depends on the subject matter. For airplanes, one of my favorite subjects, the 35 works much better.

I studied marketing and advertising in college and during my post-grad years, but I always had part-time jobs using my photographic skills. Then I became the marketing manager for a major photographic importer in the late '60s and '70s during the hey-day of the 35mm SLR and the compact 35mm autofocus cameras. After that photo retailing became a way to combine my love of photography with a need ...
