I personally wouldn't transition children at this age to a toddler bed - for all of the reasons you mentioned. We waited until our children were 3 years old and 3 months before we made the transition. It went really smooth, I think because our children were old enough to understand about staying in bed.
I had heard
horror stories from other twin moms about kids not going to ...

My oldest son is turning 3 this November! After his b-day I'll have a better idea on what he's getting for x-mas.
Gift Ideas : a transformer that lights up and talks, clothes, and art supplies.
Stocking: kids scissors,
action figures, books, toothbrush, and treats too!

My girls do this too, but mainly only at nap time or on the weekends in the morning. I guess cause I leave them in their cribs for a little while and they are awake. I have found that putting them in the Carters snap waist pajamas help for bed and nap time. I also leave them on when we are just
staying home. They never get out of them. Good luck.

I have 5 year old twins and it is true, they are more like "kids" than twins. Of course, I have b/g twins and they stopped drawing attention around 2 because they look so different. They each have their own "thing" now and while the are still close and
love each other with that special bond - more than likely they are just driving each other nuts just like any other brother/sister/siblings....

I think they still need naps. Mine were taking naps until this past summer - after their 5th birthday. I will still make them take a nap on the occasional weekend day if I feel they are over tired. Could you maybe sit in the doorway of their room and read a book (your book - kind of monitoring but ignoring) to ensure that they stay in bed and that there is no
monkey business going on? Also ...

It sounds like you might be facing some similar issues that we have with my DS. My twins didn't develop their own language, but my DS can be difficult to understand.
I'd suggest calling your local elementary school and ask to speak with the
speech pathologist at the school. We took our twins in at 3 years old for an evaluation. They were playing with her farm animals and the ...

Well, it obviously sounds like you are a good and caring and creative Mom who loves her girls very much. It is hard to say what causes their behavior or what will stop it. You've tried most everything I can think of. I taught
Pre-k for several years.
One suggestion that worked for some kids was to give them a photo of them with you and dh. They could wear it on a necklace or keep it in their...
