Capacity, capacity, capacity.
Published (2009-11-20 12:36:00)
When I spoke with Saft they said that LTHU does not have the capital to build the capacity needed to be considered for the Automobile space. They said look to the companies like Johnson Controls(saft), A123 and a couple others that got stimulus funding to get that business. The funding gave those companies capital need to invest in capacity. Now where we/lthu can make money is the large format projects i.e. Trucks, Buses etc. Frankly I like...

For those of you who like technical analysis, check out the link below. The top graph is a daily, and the bottom a weekly. On the daily (top) look at how we are recently riding the 200 day moving average, and on the weekly (bottom) how we are riding the 40 week moving average. We are at a very, very pivotal point. If we break significantly below either, and technicals follow, we are screwed. I DO NOT think that will happen. Au contraire, I...

I'd like to point out an interesting trend in the quarterlies over the last three quarter. Revenue (first three quarters of 09) - 1.32m, 1.75m, 3.01m cost of revenue (in same sequence) - 3.07m, 2.6m, 2.09m Anyone else see a positive trend? Revenues rising as costs of revenue are falling? $750k away from being EBITDA positive last quarter? A 1.5 million loss for the quarter, the smallest I can ever remember, heading in the right direction....

Early stages of the market, whether Porsche, Audi, Gumpert, ArvinMeritor, Nonnuclear subs, Designline, etc. Looking for volume discounts, economies of scale, etc. I think the $2900 price tag will go lower as manufacturing efficiency picks up and the market responds. Agreed that a Porsche buyer will buy the extra performance. Small change for a Porsche owner who wants that pup to motor.

Anyone know the cost of a transit bus? I would like to work out the % of that total cost that would be made up of the battery. An EV bus is $200K more than a standard bus so we can make some assumptions about the % of the total i.e. standard bus cost + $200K increase. Then if we say that the batteries are 25%-30% of that total amount we can come up with a revenue estimate and then figure out ...

Almost made it to HK this year, the trip is in the plans for next year stopping there going into China on business.
I still don't understand how companies can make these little tiny Lithium rechargeable batteries but can't make a AA or C rechargeable battery. Just do not understand the physics limitations. Really, wouldn't that be a gold mine?
