New ISI tools have been released. Among other improvements it seems that now Max 9 & 2010 are supported. Haven't tested it yet though: http://www.rfactor.net/index.php?page=devcorner Regards

I think you made a typo with your + and - signs but what you are trying to say is correct. For clarity let me re-state your post here with the typo's fixed. I run 1 second my engine with a constant rpm of 17730 and a constant oil temp of 125.4 then 1 second with a constant rpm of (17730 + 344) and a constant oil temp of (125.4 + 2.9) then 1 second with a constant rpm of (17730 - 344) and a constant oil temp of (125.4 - 2.9). At this end...

I am wondering what's going on with Trex tool. ISI would be fools not to work with Niel or try and produce a similar tool. This tool combined with carFactory and realfeel make for unprecedented realism and without either one, the whole thing falls apart. I would like to see Niel selling his tool online to the general public, for sure it needs to be unleased rather than kept a secret or made available only for a select few.

Hi guys, I'm trying to understand the Fuel calculation, but I cannot understand something in the formula indicated in the first message. At 15,000 rpm and 66% throttle for 1hr 40min: 15,000 rpm is ~1571 rads/sec 1571 * 0.66 * 3.11x10^-5 * 100 * 60 is ~193 (litres) As far as I know (and checked with our firend google), the conversion between rpm and rads/s is the following: 1 rad/s = 1 rotation/s 2 PI So, Question 1 : how can 15000rpm be...

Hi guys, just a simple question: a friend works on a new WIP italian track from scratch. Actually looks really good, but...we would like to add some special ambient sounds, recorded in real track. Well, problem is here, we don't find command, string for to add ambient sounds in his track! what file we need to modify? Actually we have .waw files ready, but..we don't find a way to insert it ingame....

Some edits to posts 2 and 3 have been prompted by my experience building pm files for cars with live axles at the rear such as early Mustangs. It turns out that the chassis is much better behaved if the track bar definition contains a naming statement, 'name=track_bar' in a statement that might look like this - // Track bar (heights will be changed with track bar adjustments) [BAR]...

I think only way to encrypt them is to contact ISI. Send them an email to ask first, and I am sure after that all you have to do is send them the files you want encrypted.

My guess is it's happening when you mirror an object. In Max select the object, go to the Utilities tab, find Reset XForm and click on Reset Selected. This will show how the object actually is. You'll want to convert back to editable poly after this. When mirroring objects the faces get flipped but it doesn't show in max until you reset xform. Selecting the faces and flipping them will fix...
