your vet sounds great. hopefully the nebuliser will help alot. i don't know about bringing him in though and then back out again. bisc and matt used to live outside in their shed but i moved them both indoors. but if oscar isn't happy inside then he might feel stressed. i don't know, someone else will advise i'm sure. xxx __________________ sleep peacefully patch and smudge, miss and love you both so much xxx

Older Rabbits can take much longer to recover from a GA. Did he have bloods taken before the GA to check his Kidney/Liver function ?

Bringing him in for 20 mins for his nebulizer will do no harm at all. To be cautious, I'd let him "dry off" for a little bit after his nebulizer. I had a feeling that Oscar was happiest as an out door bun.

Obviously I am unable to say if this is the same as what your bun has but Jims suffered with 'yellow leggies' when we used excel dried grass as his cage linning and hay, bless him nothing was soaking up his pee and he was flicking his leggies a lot which showered everything with pee __________________ Mummy Rachael & Baby Jimbles

Really? I know I'm no vet but that sounds a bit odd If Oskar is healthy I'd have thought the risk of him not being revaccinated (and therefore contracting myxo as an unvaccinated rabbit) were far more significant than the risks to him of being revaccinated After all, if he was already incubating myxo then it's unlikely to make any difference to his prognosis whether he had the vaccine given or not

I suppose it depends on the bunny/...

I was just thinking about you earlier and wondering how smokey was doing. 1. Is the immunity accumulative. Does it mean the more often they get jabs the less likely they will catch it again? i believe that the immunity does increase, but I think its complex as to the factors involving this, such as the rabbits own immune system, etc 2. Will the rabbits that have shown signs of ...

Yes, i had this with Dusk after his first dental. He took a good three days to gather himself and wake up. In the end I put him in the run outside and it worked a treat. I've not seen a bunny in a mess like he was before, not after a simple dental. He was even worse than my spays. I spoke to my vet about it after and he said that the metabolism can have an impact on it because it is related ...

It may be that he has Otitis externa (outer ear infection) which *might* be related to the conjunctivitis in that the same strain of bacteria is involved -ie Pasteurella. Please get your Vet to check his ear ASAP as otitis, once established, is really nasty and extremely difficult to get rid of Hopefully it's just a build up of wax ...

Poor you, and poor Casper. With the things he has started eating, have you introduced them gradually (with the exception of hay)? I wonder if maybe that has played a part in his tummy problems too, as well as pain. Hopefully at the vets they can turn him round and get him happy and well again and back to his old self so that even if he does have chronic tooth problems he still finds ...

It does sound like teeth problems with the wet mouth, so best to get checked out at the vet asap. Could the yellow just be where maybe it has stained Pipkin where he has been dribbling? Hope he is OK and its not an abcess. Edit - does he drink out of a bowl where he may just have a wet chin.

I'm sorry your bunny is ill. Is Thistle vaccinated? In terms of myxi, I would suggest searching for and reading threads on parsnipbun's Viola Mai (I think that's her name), StarlightsRabbitRescue's Autumn (RIP) and also caralion's Diesel. Bunnies can survive, but equally, some don't. It really depends on how much immunity the bunny has in his system. I hope that you can find ...

Poor Ozzie, sending lots of vibes for his dental today. xxx I think each bun is different, so it's hard to put a time scale on dentals. Encouraging hay consumption and anything that will wear his teeth down it the best preventative though. Bubbles needed her first dental last Feb when she would have been only about 10 mths old but hasn't needed one since. My bridge bun, Reggie, had two ...
