Please Help!! Aux port problem
Published (2009-11-10 10:27:00)
Mazda still has not fully alleviated this problem. The Rx-8's have their aux ports operated by a motor, and they still can stick from carbon buildup. Whatever new motor Mazda comes out with (16X is their current prototype) probably will not have secondary injectors in the LIM. That should help with the carbon buildup at least some. From the pics I've seen so far, there will be primary injectors directly in the rotor housing and then...

The Koyo made for an S4 has the extra fill location directly on top of the tank, rather than on a neck extending out. I actually just cut the thing off and had a plate welded over the hole, since I too have my filler on the thermostat cover.

^ that works too. Just follow the instructions on the RTV bottle. Some want you to tighten right away, some want you to go finger tight till it dries a bit and then torque it down.

Please Help!! Aux port problem

The assembly can be removed from the intake by taking out the two screws holding the plate on. Then you can use carb cleaner to dissolve all the gunk you can now access. Warm it up, shoot carb cleaner into the joint and then let it cool. The temperature changes will draw the cleaner in. The ports plug up for various reasons. Carbon buildup is a natural byproduct of burning a hydrocarbon fuel. The secondary injectors spray onto the aux port...

Find out if your model has the LSD diff, you should have that for drifting. Weight reduction, remove everything you can if you don't care how it looks.

The previous owner has screwed up the wiring, probably AT the headlight switch.
The power on a normal car is seperate for the headlight and the sidelights.
Turn the knob to full up and you put a GROUND on a wire at the headlight switch which in turn puts a gnd on the HEADLIGHT RELAy up in front of the radiator and that relay now pulls in and feeds power from the HEADLIGHT FUSE in the ...

yes thermostat is between neck and pump. s4 pump housings are all aluminum but you need to use an s4 water pump.

Someone??? Come on guys, there has to be an answer here. Can someone run a quick test on a known working OMP Position sensor? It would not take long.

Yes...
Get a stock DP and two flanges and have an Exhaust shop make you a pipe that bolts straight up to your cat... unless you want to be fancy and get the RB DP and Resonator...
I would if I were you just spend the money on the exhaust if you plan on raising boost. The stock exhaust is very restrictive.

Try using a plastic pry bar. You can get an entire set for $5 at harbor freight.
I havent tried this on a radiator o-ring, but it works for other things.
Take the large pry bar (about 3 inches wide) and cut it in half.
Place a point of the o-ring into the groove.
Place the flat uncurved end of the prybar just in front of where you need to press it in.
While you are ...

Are you using the air pump for any of the supplied pressure?, or trying to actuate them with the exhaust alone?
I tried that setup when I installed my RB street header with Apexi N1 dual and it worked about like what you are describing. I ended up using the air pump and exhaust to supply mine with a dump orifice to unload the excess pressure of the air pump. Now they come in at 3800 rpm and ...

I'd try to find some protruding parts on the housings (spark plugs, mounting studs, etc) that I could wrap twine or something around to keep it all tightly together.

Unless you're having problems with oil temperatures that are too high, confirmed with a proper gauge, then it's a waste of money. You won't find extra power or efficiency by running the oil cooler than normal, in fact you'll likely find that things get worse.

If any fuse blows, you have a short in the wiring somewhere. The room fuse runs power to interior lights, cigarette lighter, the alarm, the ECU, warning lights & audio system. The engine fuse looks like it runs to the turn signals/hazards and rear window defrost. Either that or it runs to the fuel pump; it's hard to tell from the diagram, but looking under the dash will tell you. Pgs. 50-12 & 50-...

I believe the tach signal runs of the trailing? coil pack. My temp gauge never worked, didnt care, they suck. (even tho s4 are better than s5 temp gauge). Do your self a favor and buy a good electric temp gauge, and tee it into your BAC coolant line. Thats what i did and works like a charm. Also keep searching.

Its certainly possible to pour it in, but it would be cheaper and just as effective to use snake-oil.
