That sounds like an ecu problem. Some of the newer corollas do a similar thing and the ecu needs to be replaced. Are you sure its not cutting ignition and fuel?

I didn't read it too much, but have read about many of the electronics kits they have articles on. Beats shelling out the monies on name brand shit... Autospeed for the win!!!

anyone have the 96 ecu 2.2 pinouts? Im needing the ecu pinouts for a 96 impreza with the ej22. I looked at the FSM threads but could find anything worth while. I appreciate the help. bit of an update, ive got a standard v4 wrx wiring main harness laying around and it turns out the black plug fits into this one. now the wiring loom that i hate in the car (v4 sti dccd) does not have this. hmmm any ideas? test light and trace it?
