My gods! Gerome, it's a good thing for you that sword you carry won't wield itself." I grabbed my spell pouch and began the incantations. Gerome took a drink from his jug and grit his teeth waiting for the spell to be finished. "Have a nice trip, see you next, awe I can't finish." Gezhvin shook his head and walked away. The waggamaeph just growled at him. Ridley just sat there with her jaw open, staring in...

A write up on the death sent to me by Jon - AKA Derek Jaxx It was an accident, one of those incidents that happen in combat. Look none of the away team are military trained, send a bunch of civvies to do a troopers job and things are going to go wrong.... We had discovered that due to combat damage from The Troubles, we have discovered so much about, that it was no good n trying to ascend spire #3 any higher. Therefore we decided after...

Noteable Crew: Magos Robertson Hmm... I don't have much to say about the man. If you could call him a man anymore. I mean, I don't know many people who require biannual maintenance and unguent-changes. He's been aboard at least as long as I have. Whenever I've got a problem with the mechanical fiddly bits (I haven't got a clue how any of the stuff works, to be frank), he's always there to fix it. And insult my...

Ronan's perspective on Narnia: Part Two To continue my account of the affairs - to act as an official record on these most peculiar events. We had all gone our seperate ways to rally troops for the battle. I did savour the opportunity to relieve myself from the insufferable company that I was forced to keep the past several days. Our mission was simple: to walk the Shadows and bring back mercenaries, warriors - an army to combat the...

There once were some cutters from Farshore, The sort of primes that demons abhor, So pretty and nice, Living without vice, They might as well be an infernal cold sore. Incidentally, for anyone who is enjoying the style of my light hearted parts, I think that 'Soulless' by Gail Carriger has some of the same feel to it. A good read, I recommend it. It was only after Louisa had said *why* the Sorceress was crying that I realised how close Keri had come to a war inside her head. The Assassin wasn't at all bothered about saving Flora's life - it was pure happenstance that she happened to dive...

The following morning, the three men are summoned by Jacquard , in his now brand new office. After a lengthy speech on the harsh times (the Republic is not quite as dynamic as it was at its foundation), the size of the competition (the three big Houses control most of the trade, leaving smaller houses like ours very little) and the necessity for changes, he regretfully tells them that, as old ...

There will be spoilers for the entirity of the Savage Tide in this thread. You are advised not to read it if you may someday play it, and not to read past where you are if you are currently playing it. This is your only warning.
So today was a slightly frustrating start to the campaign. My fourth player did indeed show up, but something like an hour late, and then he had to make a ...

You saw a lot of the same in the original Ascension game really. The Technocracy were basically little more than 2D-villains before their supplement came out and made them awesome.
Many people have remarked on it: Mage is a game that only really shines once you get some of the supplements, no matter which edition.

Kily goes down to the police station, is led to a small room, and sits inside for around 30 minutes, doing her best not to freak out. After a while, a woman comes in and introduces herself as Dakry. About the Character Generation
Traveller has what is surely one of the most mechanical character creation systems around. So, I decided to try something different today. I decided to treat the character generation like a true play session, rather than an multiplayer solitaire session. I told everyone that we were going to do the character generation together, as a group, that we were ...

cult? genius! Now what do the players do when lictors and other tyranids
start showing up? I don't see this not ending in exterminatus, I know I
wouldn't fuck with the 'Nids unless I was willing to nuke a planet, just my
kind of adventure.

The PCs
At the start of the campaign we decided to generate 2 PCs per player though only 1 PC would be in play per player at a given time.
Character generation was completely random using a career system that owes much to WHRP and Traveller. The characters were generated sometime before the scenario was written giving me the oportunity to use player background in the forthcoming campaign...

At this point, I began to fall asleep. Surely, this doddering old fool did not presume to tell me that he had some knowledge of that fabled treasure ship? I had heard the stories since childhood: a ship filled by a madman with the treasure of a plundered world: a ship lost two thousand years ago: a ship no man could find a trace of? He continued to ramble as I dozed off, but then brought out a ...

The first 2 half-orcs arrived at the door to the kitchen and saw the old woman mowed down. The larger of the two didn't hesitate, shouted "MOMMY!" and started working his way through the skeletons to get at those nasty adventurers who hurt his dear old mom. He got off to a good start and smacked down 2 skeletons while the other half-orc followed at a slower pace. Xerxes and Diantha together ...
