The simplest RPG that I have encountered was from Chaosium, called Prince Valiant, it's a knights-in-armour game that uses coins instead of dice (you cannot get much simpler) and is designed for kids. I would actually recommend it for younger kids.

At level 3 I transformed into a Huge Centipede or at least that is what appeared to happen to the Gnoll Warrior I was fighting in single combat. My main character that I am playing currently is an Artificer at level 3 (almost level 4) and while I was doing a huge craft fest the others in my group were getting into adventures so they were getting a little bit ahead of me in experience. With this in mind my DM was allowing me to go into single...

Now that people have pointed out that you can cheese the eidolon's AC to 70+ (they've locked the thread), it seems that this class is either going to get heavily and deeply revised or else be a total embarassment to the game.
I could see it going either way, really.

Elans certainly are possible. WotC seem to cover "fantasy archetypes". Elves, Dwarves, Halfings, something reptile, something undead, something plant, something angelic and so on. Super-humans are missing until now.

Isn't it a bit too late to get this upset about it?
In reality I don't remember it coming up much in the day. If a group didn't play Spelljammer, they generally wouldn't buy that MC. I played for over a decade with the first 2 and maybe 3 of the others over time. An extra folder is like a couple of euros.
Spreading themselves too thin, paying for the development of more and more ...

Sounds like a Wondrous Magical Item. I remember the prayer beads having one

I reckon the 'living creature' interpretation is the correct one.

That is a good trap, but it begs a lot of questions. Particularly, how did
the dwarf set it up (if he did), and how does he steal their stuff when
they die? (Presuming that's his objective) I like it because just as it's
low-tech, it's the sort of thing that might well break down under
scrutiny/suspicion or caution (though caution might result in one party
member getting drowned). A cautious/...

Stronghold Builder's Guidebook, p47-48. Flying is 15,000gp per stronghold space, and you have to pay a surcharge for speed, too. 25,000gp per stronghold space for a fort that can move 10 miles per hour, but only 5,000gp if you're willing to settle for a quarter mile per day. The example 'cheap keep' in the book has 28 stronghold spaces, and the 'floating tower' example has 27. The price tag on ...

Eh, if one's taking a fairly generalized alignment system, and doesn't discount moving between them, I'm not sure there is one.
Alignment systems aren't always useful, but when the D&D one isn't useful, it's generally because it's too general for an alignment to tell you much. Even if someone's a mish mash of contradictory actions that generally just balances out to some form of neutral.

Using a battle grid doesn't require you to spend a lot of money. You can get everything you'll ever need for about $50 or $60.
It's easy to make home and tokens just by cutting out pieces of colored card stock. You can buy all the colorful cardstock you'll ever need for only a few dollars at any art supply store.
Erasable battlemats aren't very expensive, and you only ever need to buy one...
