Been thinking about how I would fix Hexeris. He still suffers from the classical skorne issue of being too focused vs. Hordes but he also really doesn't do anything to really buff or interact with his list. First he is an ex-Cataphract so he needs MAT7. Stryker got this, so should he. His feat needs to effect Cryx. "When a living enemy model or enemy warrior model...". As a whole the feat would still be sub-par but it...

I just picked up a bunch of Therians from FFG's holiday sale, so I'm going to need to know how to approach it. For reference purposes, here's what I have en route: Tiamat Nina Zero Sigma Urash Storm Golems + attachment Assault Golems + attachment Assault Goliaths Baal Golgoth Wraith Golgoth From what I've read, I'll be wanting Bane Goliaths and a Hekat. What else would I want/need? Is this enough for a complete army,...

Heh. OGRE is neat. HOW TO DESTROY AN OGRE Hit it directly with a groundbursting strategic nuclear missile. Not one of those piddly little Hiroshima jobs, either, I mean a big one. Hope that nobody you care about was in the same country. Or any of the adjacent countries, come to think. Also note that this is impossible, because any missile that shows its face to the heavens will get perforated by a dozen air defense lasers from the edge of the...

BGG's staff so far has been studiously avoiding any comment on the issue. At the moment, it seems just as likely that BGG got a form letter and over-reacted than GW is being quite that ridiculous. BGG files include things like rulebooks for some games, and I could see GW being picky about that. Until we actually know the facts it's somewhat silly to demand that all GW games be deleted and the like.

There doesn't seem much to spend it on with the restrictions on multiple special/rares and fanatics.
Is this the same comp system the Swedes use? I remember some big argument on warseer months ago about it.

It sounds like that most games should fit those fairly common (individually) needs, but I can't think of many.
Smallworld plays with 5 and might work. Each army has about 12 counters (all the same), so not sure if you'd call that fiddly bits. They're pretty clear pieces. Everything else fits very well.

It depends, if you already have a play group then yeah KOT is a great set, and you should be up and running in no time. If you are trying to get a group of people into the game then it is a pretty good jumping off point. The starters are, with the exception of the Toreador starter, very good. Be careful of using the Malkavian starter, the other decks don't have much in the way of intercept, ...

Compared to the first edition of Blitz!, Locked and Loaded mostly adds more infrastructure and small tweaks to the game. For instance, building an army is much more detailed now (you effectively build a mission, where higher quality troops have better resources but more difficult objectives). The Locked and Loaded rulebook is also prettier and arranged better.
So I'd buy it if you intend ...

I'm also hugely excited for the new book. Setting aside the swell-looking sectorial lists, I'm just psyched for the new scenarios.
Recent minis have basically reassured me that the blisteringly hot sculpt quality isn't going anywhere - the Celestial Guard, Kuang Shi controllers, new Sputniks and stuff are pretty much over the moon qualitatively.
I have no momentum on getting local play...

The best way to see how your army is doing points wise is to use this . It's an awesome tool, you can see how many points your army has, as well as what slots you need to fill, etc.
Just eyeballing it, I'd say pick up a couple hektats and/or succubi . Therians have the option to create these units during the game, so it helps to have an extra or two.

I've just picked up the starter; I'll probably be buying for two armies, as Warhammer is the game of choice around here, but people are always willing to play something if they don't have to put up the scratch.
For interesting games, what do you think would give me the most bang for my buck with 50$ of additional purchases?

The fansite Dark Reign 40K has recently received a C&D-letter from GW Legal eventhough it is about roleplaying games from Fantasy Flight Games.
And no, GW Legal didn't contact FFG about darkreign40k.com before they sent the C&D, nor after they sent the letter.

I'm just waiting for the Skarre rescuplt. Figures that they'd announce her resculpt a week after I bought the (ugly-ass) original pSkarre sculpt.
Also, I don't understand why pButcher is getting a resculpt. That's a solid model, right there.

The first thing I would do is dig up the online Mk2 rules, and stat cards. The Hordes faction ones come out Tuesday. You have also listed the big four so far. Ios, the Mercs and all the Hordes factions are also there to look through!
