For those who think it's down, I went to it the other day by typing the letters of the URL into the little box at the top of the screen. I was told that it was down. No surprise, but... Then I googled it, got a response that had exactly what I had typed in,...

Greetings, I am sure this question has been asked before, but as the search terms are so generic, I couldn't find anything specific. How does one " take the plunge" getting involved in the Custom Installation field? I am more interested in programming high-end involved systems such as Crestron. My primary expertise is in systems architecture...

You might want to calm down a tad bit. Actually, what you have is a scientist, Dr. Jones, talking candidly about sexing up a graph to make his conclusions more persuasive. This is not a good thing thing to do -- I'd go so far as to call it unethical -- and Jones deserves some of the loss of face that he will suffer. Unfortunately, this is the sort of thing that happens all the time in both ...

The URC dimmers are very well priced. RadioRa is more money and needs more parts to make it work (for your scenario). Maybe look at a UPB solution by Simply Automated or others. Or you could try X10 for 1/10th of the cost and 1/1,000th of the reliability...

The general trend of this government environment, worse in California than in most states, is part of what turned me conservative. The deal is, guys, that they want to tell you how to run your life because they think they know better than you, and they will figure out arguments to back up that desire. For instance, look at this: After 10 years, the commission estimates the regulations will ...

Definitely C over B, smoother design less cluttered confusing/straining to look at. C vs. A in the images above I'm slightly preferencial to C as its a more impactful and symetrical interface. However if A only had 8 equal buttons a a smoother or bolder type face it may be equally ameanable, or possibly even preferable. Great starts, and good luck.
