Flip seats can no longer be installed, due to seat movement during crashes. existing flip seats at NJT will be slowly faded out as fleet is renewed. MNCR replaced the Flip seats with salvaged seats from M1's

Not sure if the CSX units are ACSES equipped, probably not, so that's one possibility. Another is that there is usually another longer CSX/CP train waiting to go north from the OP Link to the Hudson Line at CP 8 at night. So that's another reason. Maybe it's just a shorter move to make overall going through the wye? Considering too that the CSX local (B750?) occasionally goes up the Harlem around...
