STATUS OF THE **BL20-GH** FLEET

That was a test train you caught, Fred. Started out with the 126 then added equipment from there. Well they must have misplaced the 126 Willie...no sign of the 126 on that consist although the 125 and 127 are there . I have a feeling this was just an equipment move. No more single light engine moves for now...there must be at least a second engine or a coach in the consist to ensure proper signal shunting.

Questions about Beacon Line
Published (2009-11-20 22:23:00)
For the record, I didn't think the original query should have been in NYS Railfan since it pertained to the Beacon Line, which belongs to MNRR, and since the proposal by Society was for MNRR to either operate the service or give over the line to another operator. I only suggested that once experts (myself excluded; I only offered a reasonable rail fan rebuttal) stated the proposal wouldn't fly and for what reasons, that further...

Goodbye and good riddance. When they would break you needed to use the infamous bed sheet schematic to troubleshoot the cars. The wiring on the cars is old, dirty and very difficult to identify. Give me an M3 any day of the week. That being said, they did save our bacon the winter of '06-'07 when we had 200+ M7's out of service with flat wheels!!! Anyway, I think its safe to say that Metro North and its predecessors has gotten...

Unless they produce a badge or ID it's best to just act like a) you didn't hear them or b) you no unnerstan ingles. I'm having a little trouble opening your pix, so can I just ask? Is the main shop building at Harmon still standing? I haven't been there in a while and I was told it was all down, all gone.

Wonder if the horn got replaced also? Sounded like when I was doing videotaping at Manitou during the Open House last October, it had a different sounding horn like a P5, or the choke in the horn was clogged causing the horn to sound very sick. I can't imagine how many shots I have of 213 whether at Croton Harmon, or on the move.
