This forum has remained die-hard fan of I-Bonds. During this time does anyone suggest buying/selling I-Bonds or E-Bonds? I had purchased "I-bonds" 4 years ago, as per the Moderator's strong suggestion at that time. Eventually, many people withdrew due to markert rise and higher rates outside. Now, market went low, so I think, it is again a good rate, if you could maintain that rate ...

I need some information on executing Power of attorney. I have bought some land which was registered on my name and wife's name(50% each) which i want to sell when i am in india, what are my options in US to get power of attorney , also is there any monetary limit on the value of the property which can be given POA . thanks in advance

I returned to India last year. My bank account is in US and need to transfer some amount. When I contacted my US bank for wire transfer they said that I have to go to US embassy and get my wire transfer request notorized and then send it to them in US. After that they will call me in India for re-confirmation. It is a difficult process as Embassy is far away from my home. What other options do...

I need to park about 15 lacs in a conservative investment, for about 1.5 years. After 1.5 years, I need the funds for house construction.. FDs yeild I believe upto 10% at present, and FMPs can go little higher than 10%.... I understand that FMPs are slightly riskier than FDs. Which is better from tax perspective ? Also, do I get penalized with EXIT loading if I cash my FMPs after 1....
