Fork Question, will it fit?

Did you find out what parts are in them? Reason I was asking is if they are G2R 25mm cartridges; go for it. If they are 20 mm pistons (gen I or II) it is not worth the while. The stock piston in the 07-08 is a 24 mm piston. It would be more beneficial to replace those valves with Race Tech G2R compression and HFR rebound valves, and throw the correct spring in there while you are at it. Then you retain your brakes and have the next best...

The code said that it was a malfunction in the throttle servo motor. Is that a replaceable part by itself? I looked into the oem parts places and could not find that offered.

Even if you space the caliper further away to accommodate the larger diameter rotor, the spacing will still be wrong. 04-09 run the rotors closer together compared to the earlier R1's, (about 3/32's on each side). Easiest thing to do would be to install 04-06 forks/calipers on your earlier R1.

Carb, Flat spots. WFO is lean?
Just bought a 99 R1. In short,,,
Bike always idles high after coming to a stop, ( A/M screws lean?) thens comes down to 1800 rpm's o so. Has nasty flat boggy spot at 4-6K if stabbed hard. The colder air temp wise it gets the less mph it runs wide open. Think it needs a jet kit. Bike is stock except for a...

If its the same r1 you got another problem . I keep battery tenders on about 8 toys & had not put a battery in anyone of them in 3+ years . I dont think your battery tender is working correctly .
You being in nc I would not think taking it out would be of any benifit .

Throttle recoil
Just got the 08 R1 and since rode my mates bike, exact same model.
I noticed something, the throttle control on mine is much stiffer? it's not catching/binding and it snaps back well it's almost as if the return spring on the throttle bodies is much stronger? It means I have to grip the bar a lot tighter to hold it in ...

Well I was able to get the right tools for the job, and as it turns out I had no problems at all with getting the fly wheel or the stator off, just lucky I guess. I used slow steady presure on the bolt, no jerking it or suden down force, it came off with out a hitch. Posting some pics of the tools I used in the process.
1. Fly wheel holder purchased from dealer for $29 by Motion Pro.

You can download a map but it's best to have the bike dyno tuned.

Yup, they're interchangeable but 04-06 run different front brakes compared to 07-09 (calipers and rotors).
I have 09 forks on my 04.
