QUOTE (ryan08/06/88 @ Aug 20 2009, 06:20 PM) Got back from tennis yesterday. Went to the Drs on monday and he gave me more antibiotics just in case something went wrong while I was at tennis and also got the nurse to look at it. She applied a dressing and that was that. The blister leaked some fluid on the tuesday night as there were a few dots of fluid on the pillow I had my foot up on but there was no obvious split or...

Flap Surgery On Coccyx - Need...

Hi there Bokeback Brenda, thanks for your reply. We appreciate it. He's going into the doctor next week to see what he says about the surgery. If he only has to stay in for 3 weeks, that's better than six weeks. We read your reply together. We will ease him slowly back into the chair and not expect things to happen real fast. Have a merry christmas!! Nancy and Jay

I had flap surgery a few yrs ago in the same area. I was in the hospital for 3 wks, 2 of those flat on my back on a clinitron bed, after that I went to a low loss air mattress and after 2 1/2 wks I could sit in my chair for 15 min and up it 5 min a day til I got to 3 hrs, total for the day, then had to wait for my postop appt to get cleared for more. Then it was just using common sense and listening to my body to determine how much/often I...

Hi there, Had minor blisters on my heels before and the cause has been obvious, the sole of my shoe was bent over and creased. I noticed today that I've had bad spasms, my legs just keeps randomly hopping and jerking, the kind of spasm you get when something is in pain that you are not aware of. I thought I may have twisted my ankle or something but thought nothing of it. I just took my ...

I have an Effect 5000 ( http://www.wheelsunlimited.com/effect5000.html ) and it works well for me. It overlays my regular bed and can travel with me. The original pump went out after 6 months, but it was under warranty so it was replaced for free. The new pump has been working well for the last two months.

I had a muscle flap done about two years after my accident (age 16) and then out of nowhere on my 23rd birthday it reopened. I eventually got fed up with bed rest and decided to have a second surgery. My second surgeon was way better than the first surgeon! I guess it depends where the pressure sore is and figure out what is causing it not to heal properly. I know the second time mine ...

Sounds like chilblains. See HERE I've been getting them every winter since my leg muscles started packing up. I think it is a combination of things: poor circulation, tight socks, tight shoes, and cooler weather. I found that my socks were getting pulled tight over my toes when I slid my feet into shoes and I'm sure that this was the main cause for me. I bought shoes two sizes ...

That would be a real last resort way of dealing with the issue. How long has this been going on for? Have they tried FlaxAid treatment? What else has been done?
