Problems For Long Time...

QUOTE (E-DOG @ Dec 4 2009, 03:02 AM) Reminds me of an old '58 Chevy I had a long time ago. Time. Use. Abuse. They all take their toll. In the end, we all putter to a slow grinding halt. Exhausted. Shhhh..... listen close. I do believe the fat lady's warming up. E Thank God there's an optimist around here...

Thanks. Good news. Starting to come together for sure. The LSW tried again to push for us to get him to a discharge. I filed complaints this week to the president of the hospital's office. That got a fast response. The VP told me she did not wish for me to write to the hospital by email, and I would have to come to a meeting or go on "teleconference call." I reminded her of our rights for full communication, and nothing...

Orthopedic Surgeon Vs. Neurologist
Published (2009-12-04 10:38:00)
So far I haven't had any surgery, but I vividly remember being told by a PT that if ever she needed any spinal surgery, she would have it done by a neurosurgeon - never by an ortho. She was adamant about this. I think I would be guided by her advice if it ever became necessary, assuming I had a choice.

QUOTE (CrazyLucky @ Nov 27 2009, 06:07 PM) Wow! Massive Attack is great. My wife introduced me to that style of music when we first met...I really enjoy getting lost in this music. Jerry, I know what you're talking about. I started playing guitar in the "hair metal" era and my teacher kept on trying to get me to listen to older stuff like rockabilly. I refused at the age of 13, but have come...

No offence, but it sounds like he needs to get over himself and grow up. I mean, how did he have to become "the man of the family"? Did his dad die? And what's he mad about? I'm sure it wasn't his dads idea --------------------

Sorefm, Thanks for the story and it's about TIME you posted!! Your doing what you can, and unfortunately we're never satisfied with our progression and recovery, at first. But that's ok, cause it's your driving force to work with what you've got, and it sounds like you stand a great chance to gain much more--yes yes, pun intended. Be impatient, it's your right. But, ease up on yourself ...

Hi Sydney, Please forgive my ignorance, but what is a Registrar? In any case, what you really have to look out for with fractures in casts is sores. I had a fracture of both bones just above the ankle, and I very rapidly developed a heel sore. The solution is to fit the cast in such a way that the heel does not touch at all. The Doctor first fitted me for a removable plastic splint, and ...

No Way!!! This is riveting, as it used to be my bank when I worked in Sheffield, and waiting in the street used to really me off - but I was always told that they were stuck with a planning case as another department within the council (and I use to come up against those idiots and know how truly rubbish some of them were) wouldn't allow the alterations on a listed building <<ah, the...

Salomon make some nice winter boots with thinsulate lining. I use soft snowboard boots with a removable liner. Easy to dry and get your feet into particularly if you buy 1 size too big. I got my from TK MAXX nice and cheap. (they generally have some at this time of year). Never used the heaters myself although I do know a couple of mono skiers who swear by them. Hope this helps....

Hi all, I'm supposed to be going on a friends 40th next year, and for a theme, we will be going to one pub from each colour of the Monopoly Board game in London. So, because I'm in a chair, we need to know of accessible pubs. We can manage 1 or 2 steps, as there will be a few hands to help out, but it would be handy if there were some loo's in some of the pubs. If the pub has access...
