Ilovegreengems, I had two pictures to frame before I left. DH went to work and then had to help fix a problem that came up right before he left. He should be here soon. IMO, a watch would be perfectly acceptable to buy in another color. I know some women buy the same earrings in different stones/colors and the watch 'wardrobes' would be along the same line of thinking. Depending upon the setting, if a stone is rattling, then it might fall out. I'd get it fixed.

Hi Venezia, I re-watched the video of the presentation and I did hear her say that it is goldtone but for the life of me it looks silver in the photo, even the photo of the model in red.........silver. The others look very different and very gold. I'm so confused. Any other opinions out there?

ShopNBC going down hill
Published (2009-12-04 22:55:00)
"I so totally agree with you--over the past years I have purchased some GORGEOUS jewelry from them--Sonia Bitton Gems En Vogue, Carlo Vianni, Gems at large. I mean really stunning pieces. " Yes, I have too, but the mark-up on ShopNBC was ridiculously high. There was a Gems at Large diamond ring that I absolutely drooled over when it was presented by Charla; it was priced at $1999; a lot over my budget! I bought it from another online...

I *really* miss Sonia Bitton. Several vendors seem to have disappeared (hopefully temporarily) & others are just not up to snuff. I do think they've been trying to appeal to a wider customer base by offering more value pays & more moderately priced or lower priced jewelry items. I'd rather see stainless steel than vermeil anything, so I have tuned out for much of the jewelry shows. I *do* love Renato watches & am glad...

Who said EG uses palladium? I heard about some mystery "space material" Possibly titanium, that is very strong but cheap metal. Palladium is widely used by gold manufactures. And it is not cheap like titanium, but it is not as expensive as platinum. Today it sells for $300 + per once, compare to almost $ 1500 for once of platinum. -- Edited by Fluffy2 at 12/03/2009 9:50 AM ...

It depends on the size of the item. I have some Esposito earrings with turq drops and they don't have matrix but they're quite small so if they did have matrix they'd be all matrix and not much blue. If I had a big piece of turq as a pendant, like 1" wide or so, I think I'd want some matrix just for interest. It would look fake to me in that sort of size.

Also...last years show Posh and the Park was outside. Lisa did not have a black ring on in the 2008 show. Not sure where that is coming from when I see some of these blogs. The ring that Lisa was wearing in the FFANY show 2009 is the ring that is in this years Posh in the Park show. It will be offered in 2 colors...black...brown...and red. This has been confirmed several times from Drew. ...

I am a sucker for brooches. I wear a lot of suits at work, so if I see an unusual brooch, I will order it. I am on the Joan Rivers brooch auto-delivery plan (J140339).
