Bipolar, Borderline, Sociopath,...

Thanks for the advice. I am in therapy and have been in therapy a lot throughout my life. No one has diagnosed me with bipolar or borderline. One therapist told me that she doesn't think I'm extreme enough to be borderline so I'm actually just a narcissist. Eh. I don't really agree with her. I think I'm pretty crazy. As far as insurance goes, I already messed that up. I have major depression on my record so cannot get...

I'm confused..you say you are narcissistic, but then you say most of the time you feel like everyone hates and/or is annoyed by you? That's not what narcissism means. If you had a narcissistic personality disorder, you would feel like you were BETTER than everyone, entitled, and you would never feel bad or feel empathy for others. Basically, you would be full of yourself. I know you said you tend to lack empathy for others, but when...

Indoor home workout equipment

I have a set of 20 lb. dumbbells and a Horizon Elliptical machine. I also do some stuff like crunches and push-ups to try and get a little tone.

It depends what you are working out for! I have no equipment at home except a swiss ball and a barbell! If you are concerned about your cardio - the X-trainer (cross trainer) will help you burn the most calories! I personally don't like treadmills, they don't work you that hard and it shortens your stance. Pole dancing is good for strength or weight training. Otherwise just use your own body weights with full push ups and planks.

I'm unusual in that I actually prefer to work out at a gym with other people. I find it motivates me to have other people sweating next to me. That said, I do have some equipment at home. I have a jump rope, a big ball for sit-ups, a hula hoop, and Dance Dance Revolution. I'm asking for a Wii and Wii fit for Christmas, and I'd also like an exercise trampoline. Other than possibly the mini-trampoline I want, none of the equipment...

I have worked professionally with many people with the diagnostic criteria you describe for many years, and I have found that it's hard to put strong labels on "what is wrong with them". There is so much more than that that goes into it, and childhood trauma, trauma in general and dysfunction is alive and well in many people out there..........people you would not expect either at first glance. I think therapy is helpful...

No one on here is a medical doctor qualified to diagnose you. So anyone who has you best interests in mind is pretty much going to tell you, "Seek professional advice." But it is worth considering whether you believe you actually have a disease, or feel empty and are resolving issues from childhood. A good therapist - doesn't have to be an MD - can help you figure that out. Borderline personality and bipolar disorder are...

Yes, I have had this done...same area (and others since I am also of Eastern European descent as well as Swedish...:P, plus I have a hormonal condition that causes excess hair growth. It's fun to be me...) Actually, my GYN's office has a sideline "business" in this...one of the practice's nurses got trained and does it (along with Botox and some other medical/cosmetic procedures). This is not going to be much help, but I bought a treadmill awhile ago. I haven't used it in ages though. Which is a bad thing. I like the trampoline idea though. That sounds fun!!

I've been under a lot of stress due to the job search. My suggestions might sound typical: Find a hobby to keep your mind off of what's stressing you out. Exercise. You'll actually feel better after working out or after a jog. I stopped after awhile and should start again. Cut down on the caffeine. Since I lost my job, I went from two cups of coffee a day to one a week. I've been a...

I don't think I have an allergy per se, but I know there are certain foods that if I eat, are automatically not going to agree with me. Most of them tend to fall in the fast-food variety category. I try to make a concious effort to avoid these places when I get a craving, or carry food in my bag/bring lunch to work. I also tend to overeat sometimes in certain settings, which will ...

Are you feeling pain with every move you make or is it with certain movements? If you can't move without pain, you may want to see a doctor. If it's with certain movements you may just need to rest your body. If you are itching to workout, keep things limited to low impact like elliptical or bike AND definitely no lifting that would put extra stress on your back. Sometimes as your back is ...

Check with a local hospital...many hospitals have programs in place to provide certain kinds of care to low-income uninsured people and write off the bill with government or private charity funds. If they don't offer what you need on one of those programs, they should be able to refer you.
