I just wanted to add that my mom and dad were paying for many, many years for their insurance and were paying a great deal extra for cancer coverage each month just in case.  Well, my dad did get cancer like 25 years laters and the insurance covered him for his treatments... and then dropped him like third period French!!  And now, he can not get insurance that will cover anything because it excludes just about any illness...

Nicole, I don't feel that the government is wanting control over us.  They want everyone to have insurance so people can go to the doctor when they are sick.  I know people who are diabetic and not getting their supplies and medical care because they do not have insurance.  One of the great things about everyone having health care is that one of the requirements will force insurance companies to not reject...

I think the general idea is a great one, although I really dislike the fact that illegals are covered, but then again they seem to be given so many more rights in this country than natural born citizens are anyway these days.  I pay out nearly $500/month for health insurance for myself and the boys right now and that doesn't include the eye doctor or dentist.  The rates are killing me financially and if this can...
