I am reminded of Monty Python and the Holy Grail when King Arthur is "repressing" a peasant. "Help I'm being repressed! I'm being repressed! Repression in the system! You saw it didn't you?"

Hi unglorified, This seem to come down to a low self-esteem, where you feel other people are putting you down, because this is what you are doing to yourself, without realizing it. It's called " Psychological Projection ". But don't fall into the trap of believing that changing one's self-image is easy. It is not. Most of one's self-esteem is the result of an inner biological disorder, that pumps stress...

just a quick question, that may help me, how many people do you think are crazy enough or delusional enough to completely believe they are a powerful God, or have a lot of spiritual power esp over humans? i know in my mind that there has to be many, and there definitely has to be many , probably at least thousands of people at one time, believing such a thing. But you see, i think where does true intent come in and could that be the reason...

I do my best never to read the paper. I reckon I went through the paper one day, and found at least 80%bad, or negative news. 90% of the letters to the editer were negative. Advertising consisted at least 50% of Alcohol and personal performance adverts. When I borrow a paper at work, I pull out the bible verse for the day, the Suduku puzzle, and flick through the sport quickly. My take on bad and negative news. Take Tiger Woods for example,...

You have me a bit confused on what it is that you are asking for sure...for your explanation is a little vague. You sound as if you are struggling with which religious faith to follow...and I can tell you that you will have to go with your own feelings on that. All people that follow a certain faith have good reason to believe in what they do...but you have to reach deep inside ...

I agree Poly. We are born with all the riches of the world right inside us. People spend their whole lives looking for something already there. Something they sometimes don't give the right amount of value to, ignore, stamp on can be the most valuable thing they learn to love.
However, I do think people can change others, but not in the way they want to. People do ...

Excuse me, but who has lowered his standards here? Obviously he didn't ask you out because he'd rather spend his time with someone else. That would be pretty messed up in the head, right? So he must have some reason for asking you out.
If you want to go the paranoid route, you could choose to believe that he was trying to use you to make your friend feel jealous, or something ...

Show, thank you for responding. The usual reaction I get from people is
'you're insane' or they laugh and say it's my imagination (friends who
don't want to hurt me). This is why I cannot find someone to truly trust
and allow me to 'practice' on them. I have come to a point where I think it
is a form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, but the thing is I cannot go to
a shrink and say 'I focus on ...

It can't be true because many people deviate from such stringent criteria.

That is ironic! When I hear the sound for the (BAD) news, I often get stressed just thinking about it.
Maybe movies provide an escape & fantasy-type sense of satisfaction & the news gives drama that feels just real enough (but of course if it were too real to them, they surely wouldn't be so entertained).
