yea, the last thing you want is one of them bolts to vibrate loose.. Before its back together pull the bearing out, wipe clean and inspect it cracks, wear, turn smooth. (Not a bad idea to buy a new one either way) make sure its greased up on the inner groove with high temp grease and stick it back in, put a thin coat of grease on the face of the release bearing where it contacts the pressure plate fingers, and grease the fork ball socket, fork...

Time to clean the MAF

so the old Geocities link is dead - this is useful - I have an MX6 V6 (VAF), but just bought my daughter a 97 I4 Probe with terrible top end power (it is CRAP beyond 4k, pretty much stalls/bogs at 5k) -prev. owner put plugs/wires/cap on it - I will try the MAF cleaning and see what happens.

Holy old thread, the V6 doesn't have an MAF. So it isn't there to confuse you.

Search and you will find your answers. but for the short run down its more than just swapping in the motor. you need both the main and accessory harness' from a pgt im not sure the 626 one would work, tranny, various sensors and other odds and ends. I don't know everything off the top off my head. It also depends on if the 626 is on coil packs or not. its quite the task

I used the stage 2 kevlar clutch,& aluminum flywheel from clutchmasters on my 95 base,& it worked just fine. I had a K&N air filter besides,& could keep up with mildly moded tegs with it.

IMHO the borla has a more throaty sound than the magnaflow. neither one of these companies have a direct bolt-on system for the se. you will need to custom fab it. just please leave your resonator on or replace it with another and do not exceed two inch piping unless you plan on boosting. no need for larger pipe diameter without other mods. i have a tanabe racing sport muffler, stock resonator, ...
