Hello every G1 owner out there,
I just wanted to share with you some of the mods I have done to my Prius. I am still far from done. But this car is simply awesome for what you can do to it. I get a lot of questions about the folding rear seat, so I thought I would finally post pictures of how easy it is to do! With the
front seat pushed forward, you have nearly 8 feet of length! As you can all ...

Yesterday as I was rolling down my window it came off the track/
weatherstripping. I'm able to roll the window about half way up before the glass pinches at the very front next to the side mirror. The glass ends up wedged between the weatherstripping it should be in between and the outside of the door.
Mechanically, everything is fine (as verified by a mechanic) I just need to get the glass ...

Hi everyone, just wanted to share with you my experience installing the USA Spec unit (got it from Toyota Dealer) in my 2002
Prius. This is amazing, it shows up on the nav display with text and everything, audio sounds amazing, I can control it through the nav display and buttons on the dash and I can even listen to movies on my iPod too! Also with the RCA jacks, I will now be able to install ...

Unfortunately the Prius I bought only came with a single key and no FOB at all. However, I have determined it does have keyless entry I just need the FOB. I was quoted a ridiculous amount by a toyota dealer. And I'm also told that not just any old Toyota remote will work. So I either need a remote that came with a 2001-2003 Prius or
I need somebody to read me the FCC-ID number on the back of...

Ohhh, I'm so frustrated.. typed up my question and then was given some links to try before posting... I clicked a link .. it wasn't what I wanted and then went back to the posting box and it was empty!!
I'll never do that again!!
Anyway, is there a way to make the phone display work even if the car is in motion. As you know, it becomes inactive when the car is in motion. Thanks!

Seems my 01 w/ 140K is throwing the cat code and the dealer wants just over 2K to replace here in CA. The question I'm hoping this forum can help me answer is...
1. Based on other posts there seems to be a
gate valve of some sort that sticks.. Is this easy to get to and lube just to see if it gets the light to go off?
2. Is the Eastern Cat different from the CA version or will it work? I found...

I was thinking about replacing all of the bulbs in my 2002 that I'm fixing up with LED replacements. I suspect it would save a little bit of power, but the main two reasons for doing it would be so that I don't have to worry about replacing anymore bulbs for a long time and second because I prefer the pure-
white color on the lights. However, I haven't been able to find a list of all the ...

Hi, I just picked up a 2003 that is very clean except for hi mileage (172K).
The red triangle symbol was on when I bought, and hoped it was something minor. Pulled code P3009, which is a potential short in the transaxle. I know this can be expensive to repair! What else could this mean? The car actually still drives very well, with the only noticable symptom is a bit of jerkiness when the car ...

Help! My 2002 Prius has 115K miles on it. I was told by my Toyota Dealer (after warning lights and their exam) that it needs a new
transaxle at a cost of almost 5K. I have checked with a couple of local transmission folks and the cost of the transaxle is $3410. Noone seems to be able to locate a cheaper one or want to rebuild one. I understand their are high voltage issues. I am caught ...
