With government jobs, it's going to depend on what level of clearance you need to have. The higher the security clearance, the more trouble you will have. Some would say to lie about it on your paperwork, I would tell you not to. Lying on security clearance paperwork, and most job applications, are grounds for instant termination. Some daycare centers will not hire someone married to or living with a sex offender because of the risk to...

The federal government with bond former felons to help them gain employment, so I am not certain that being married to a felon would hurt an existing job. If it does, what an oxymoron that would be!

Alright. After I stopped laughing I think I can answer most of these for you.
#1 - Rarely if ever do they go "digging" up someone's rear end. It's much preferred that the inmate "spread em" to show any obvious contraband hanging out of that area and that they have to squat and cough which would a) cause great pain if the contraband were long or b) make it likely to fall out when everything ...

Isn't that part of a human's base nature? Must eat, sleep, potty and procreate. I would think it was considered inhumane and cruel to deny any of these. What really suprises me is there hasn't been riots over this?!!! I wonder if there are medical reprecussions to the build up and nonrelease of sperm?

I've sat on the phone for an housr calling back and back trying to get thru! But it really makes their nights to hear your voice again!

Yeah IDOC stopped using the term inmate as well and started refering to them as offenders.
Honestly T and I have never spoken on it because I don't refer to him as "my inmate" he is my man, my soon to be husband and yes I do feel if I did refer to him in that way it would be degrading.
However, I think his is beyond the understanding he will be referred by that while there though.

Though FL has VERY FEW paying jobs, Ben has had a variety of jobs while in prison to include: greenhouse keeper (or something like that), cook, tutor, teacher's aide and rec yard orderly. He did have 1 paying job where he was a Purchasing Clerk. He liked that job the most and not just because he was paid, but he moved facilities so there went that.

Yeah I found the term "bird bath" really funny. For those who don't know what that is it's a full body wash down from the sink for those in prison who are not allowed daily showers for what ever reason. I think he finds some of my cockney/street English slang funnier though. Cockney is a London/English slang that has its origins in prison lingo

If I had the option to chose..>I would chose both BUT only work at a job part-time. That way I can be home and take care of the "everyday things" that need to be done.
When my daughter was born, I loved being able to stay home with her for the first 2 years. But then once I got a job..I like that to. Thats why I say part-time. Now that I work full time, I dont have a lot of time to do ...

Well I know here they can spend 85.00 a week in the commisary. Jeff hates
the food so me and his Mom send him money but, he also works, he puts all
that money on the phone for our calls. If it is just store money yeah 60.00
a week would work in most facilites.

In my opinion, I don't see anything wrong with it, as long as you tell your hubby about it. FYI- I'm speaking from experience. I have a guy friend that I talk to every now and then, and my husband knows about it. He understands. I don't keep anything from him. I tell him when he texts or calls and what he says. Be honest with your husband and let him know, then you can decide what to do ...
