Taxpayers face a generation of pain 25 November 2009 , by Chris Giles (The Financial Times) http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/598f2426-d9f9-11de-b2d5-00144feabdc0,dwp_uuid=647403b0-d531-11de-81ee-00144feabdc0.html Fiscal stimulus was the economic tool, so long disparaged by the policymaking community, that came into its own during the economic crisis, playing its part alongside monetary easing and bank bail-outs in warding off a depression. But the...

The Fed is sending gold higher

The problem is, now its starting to come out that the gold supply may be salted, which may bring confidence down on gold jsut as the dollar is lacking confidence. Double whamy, and guess what that leaves? The global currency.

I know Lindsey Williams said we have 2 more years, but nonetheless, I wonder how long will it be when everyone starts to feel the effects of all this. My guess is that by Oct of next year, we could really be seeing these effects - to the point where Obama may find an excuse to declare some kind of national emergency and cancel the midterm elections. Either way, the damage has been done, and even if conservatives kick butt at the 2010...

These acts did not set aside any specific gold reserve to back the paper issue, nor did they announce any date when greenbacks could be redeemed for hard currency....
