Hi Toby -
Congrats on the birth of your little girl! The first month is a tough one getting adjusted, I am sure you are doing great!
I can just offer a bit of my own perspective as my DD was colicky as well. With that said, she was always an ok
nightime sleeper in her bassinet/crib...it was daytime sleeping that killed us!! She would not nap in a crib for more than 20 minutes, if that ...

Hi Rachel-
Welcome to the board!
As for whether to transfer 1 or 2, your doctor decides that based on your age and various other factors which they think will contribute to whether the transferred embies will implant.
For us, my age at the time (33) was
on our side, but I had an elevated FSH, which was indicative of fewer good quality eggs. Therefore, they transferred two. However, if ...

This is my 3rd pregnancy. I had it done with my first two and have it scheduled this time, too. The first time it was great. It was the first look at the baby we got where she actually looked like a baby. The u/s looked good and the bloodwork was fine. The second time the u/s looked good but the bloodwork showed an increased risk of
Down syndrome (I was 35 at the time). I agonized over ...

....good news, Yay...so happy for you!! Good call on switching OB's!! I am glad that you found an OB that pays attention and cares. I don't remember the timing for the CF testing. Google it(or
Bing. or Yahoo..whatever you use :). Thanks for the update. I hope you are having a great weekend basking in the excitement of your healthy pregnancy!! Take care, Jerrae

Hi Karisa, Your PIO schedule, although different, seems reasonable. Some RE's have you PIO for 9 weeks and others 12 weeks. It's better to go too long than not long enough, since the extra hormones will not harm the baby. It's nice that you do every other day PIO!! I did every day for 10 days, then
suppositories three times a day until week 12. The suppositories are just as effective, as ...

If you are scheduled for an NT scan, then you should be getting someone trained to do the measurement. The first tech may know u/s, but not have specific training to take the NT measurements. The tech will be measuring the space on the back of the neck called the nuchal fold.
12 weeks is the
perfect time to have this test done. There will be a blood test as well. They will prick your finger ...

Hi Karisa, Welcome to the board and congrats on your BFP!! Bummer about the no second Beta. It's nice to have more encouraging data, although doubling beta's, although a
positive sign, doesn't always mean that you have a viable pregnancy....so try not to focus on the lack of a follow up beta too much. Maybe your RE feels like your first number is strong enough and would rather wait. They ...

I was very bloated for several weeks post ET....and still am, somewhat, but not nearly as bad as I was! (My ET was 9/25). I believe that I had a moderate case of OHSS....I had 17 eggs retrieved. (Borderline PCOS) I went for my 1st U/S on 10/29 at 7 weeks and 2 days and the tech was
like "wow! Look at those ovaries!" So, they are still very big! The RE said it may be another 3 weeks or so before ...

So happy to hear your little bean is doing well!!! I would worry more if your LO was measuring more "off" now than in previous u/s...since s/he has been 6-7 days off since the very beginning maybe it's just a slow
implantation or something. Sounds like a very healthy h/b, congratulations =)

Hi Caryn-
First, congrats on being released to your OB! That is a great hurdle to meet!! I am glad Yogi is looking good--I am sure it is quite a relief! :)
As for genetic testing, we did some, but not all. They recommended a level 2 u/s for us because I had
emergency surgery at 12 weeks due to an ovarian torsion (my ovary twisted around itself--completely unrelated to the PG). They ...
