Well, we didn't transfer today.? Amazingly there is very little fluid in my abdomen...much better than last time!!!? But my ovaries are still very enlarged...causing my large belly.? No wonder the salt, protein and fluids didn't seem to be doing much.? It wasn't fluid after all.? So I just have to take it easy and?wait for my ovaries to shrink back to normal.? AF should be here next week and then hopefully things will be mostly...

I think it's rude, too. If there's a carseat in the car I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I've seen people with 6(ish) year olds and people with no kids at all parking in those spaces. I don't even park in them now because I don't look PG yet. I admit I have used them after my kids have gotten past the infant stage, but that was before my older DD was mobile. She didn't walk until she was almost...

Yes Jan! I agree. The ladies on this board are such a wonderful support group. I too couldn't have gotten through my pregnancy and especially the first?5 months with a colicky baby without everyone. I am so grateful that I found this wonderful group of women! :)

Hi Jan. I am also so thankful for this board. There are so many things that only fellow IVF'rs can understand. Many of the things that I posted on this board while I was pregnant are things I would never discuss with my friends. I had so many panic moments and the support from the ladies on this board is what often put my mind at ease. Thanks Jan for sticking around even though I know you are super busy with your girls. So many of the...

Hi, I just wanted to try to give you some hope.? DH & I TTC for over 2 years without ever seeing a BFP.? We went through fertility drugs & 3 IUI's -all BFN. Then we went through IVF#1 with a BFN.? On our 2nd IVF though, we got that long-awaited BFP.? I am currently almost 33 weeks pg with b/g twins!? I am praying everything goes smoothly.? I know after that first IVF I was so depressed & sad, but don't give up hope!? I...

I was also surprised when they made the announcement in August, before even seeing the h/b.? I did read somewhere that the info had somehow been leaked out.? I would never make the announcement so early, personally!? I guess I'm overly empathic, since I'm going through my own struggle with limited embryos, limited time, etc...

I tried to conceive for two years, never became pregnant on my own or with Clomid. First IVF cancelled during suppression. First retrieval yielded two embryos - transferred both, and BFN. Second cycle yielded one embryo - considered cancelling transfer, but went ahead and BFP!! My son is now 13mo old. I would do it all again - all the pain and heartache is SOOOO worth it in the end! Hang in there, and best wishes!

Just back from second u/s, at 6 weeks 0 days, there are two sacs with heartbeats and a third sac too far away to see if heartbeat or not.? So possibly triplets.? Freaking out. If you have had a trip pregnancy or know anyone who has I would really appreciate your stories.? Did one of the sacs resolve on its own?? Do you know anyone who has contemplated or done selective reduction?? Do you know anyone who has had healthy triplets?? All stories,...

I am totally with you on this one. I was just ranting (to myself of course) the other day about how civility and manners have just gone down the tube. People are so rude and lazy. It is especially annoying when a spot right next to it is open and they still choose the PG lady one.
At the BJ's where I go, there are two spots reserved for "parents with infants". It is quite a chore ...

I don't have any advice but miracles do happen and sometimes a little healing period for your body can work miracles. We push ourselves so hard when struggling with fertility. Mentally, physically our bodies and minds are maxed. Big hugs, I am really sorry for such heartbreak for you. on a very distant side note, miracles do happen and lots of ladies have ended up with freebies after ...

Mary ~ I'm sorry you're dealing with OHSS again! Mine didn't come on until three days after ET so I don't know that my experience relates. I did get a BFP from the cycle but my RE said that likely contributed (along with the hCG luteal phase injections) to the OHSS, No tips on making it go away...my doc did put me on heprin injections which helped tons with the light headedness and also on ...

I don't think that my family does anything unique for Thanksgiving. Our tradition is just over-eating!! I just love all the goodies that are served in a traditional Thanksgiving meal!! My favorite part is getting together with family and laughing at stories shared around the Thanksgiving table. I think there will be some good ones this year! This Thanksgiving will be especially memorable ...

I'm so sorry you are struggling with this.
I was 28 when we started TTC, 29 when we went the infertility route. The dx was unexplained, although I have since had a confirmed dx of endometriosis. We did 2 IUI + clomid, 3 IUI + injectibles and a fresh IVF cycle. ALL BFN. I have never been so shocked when I POASed after the next treatment---a FET--and saw a BFP. I had never been pregnant before...

I'm a beginning scrapbooker. DS is 20 months and I have exactly one page done in his baby scrapbook. My best advice is to take it one page at a time. Think about the important events you want to remember - birth, holidays, baptism (if applicable), vacation(s), first snowstorm, etc. - whatever is important to you. Focus on one thing at a time and try not to get to fancy. You can always go ...

I too am sorry that she had a miscarriage for ttc#2. I am surprised at how fast she broke the news that she was pg again. I actually remember when she announced she was pg with her son, back in 2000. She was pg the same time I was with my ds, who is now 8. She did it like the week she found out she was pg, and not the typical 10-12 weeks. I know we all get excited, but gosh, right after ...

Elissa,
I'm so sorry you had a scary week. I don't think you're selfish. Why would you be? You want another baby---what's wrong with that?!
We have 2.5 year old twins and are going back to the RE next month after hoping and hoping for a freebie. That's only going back for #3, but I know that a lot of peope wouldn't do that either, but we really feel like a baby would make our family ...
