It sounds like you're talking about the triple or quad screen blood test usually paired with an u/s to check the nuchal fold measurements on baby? The blood test is known for false positives-- or rather being positive when nothing is wrong. It's not really a test FOR disorders as much as a test of something that can be present when baby has a problem-- but it's present in many normal babies too...
