QUOTE (noarctic @ Jan 3 2010, 09:58 PM) "but with the cover on this may happen perhaps once a day for 5 minutes. These tubs have the best insulation bar none." This may happen and this may not, how do you know? LOL...here we go again with the sales pitch for a tub that is well, almost as good as some but not as good as others. You need to add in your opinion to your statements because in my opinion it...

You can drill a hole and set it up yourself... but, IMO, I think a waterfall is useless... I ahve one on our tub and it is never on. I wouldnt go to great lengths to put one in, unles you HAVE to. All it would take are a couple of holes, hose, a valve etc.... --------------------

Update II New motor received and installed yesterday. WOW - I had no idea how quiet these things are SUPPOSED to be!!! I actually hear the movement of the water more than the motor itself, even on low circulation speed! I am a very happy AO Smith customer!

QUOTE (billy sharpstick @ Dec 24 2009, 10:05 PM) i'm cleaning out my spa after the summer of neglect. it had a bit of algae and frogs swimming around. i've scrubbed off all the visible surfaces and flushed out most of the old stale water. is there an accepted way to flush out all the pipes and cavities to freshen it up? i'm thinking of filling it halfway with water and running it for a day or so, then rinse and...

Filter Confusion

QUOTE (ttrublue @ Jan 4 2010, 07:54 PM) Use the end capped filters, Sentinel is the name. The none end capped filters have a habit of coming apart when in use, a real mess to clean up. Cheers Thanks for that, I'm going to return the non-capped filters. Interestingly they are just wrapped in clear plastic, with no brand name or manufacturer on them, so I think they must be just "no name" brands or...

QUOTE (spatech (the unreal one) @ Dec 31 2009, 08:03 AM) QUOTE (HockeyKat @ Dec 30 2009, 06:26 PM) I would start with $2500 and go from there, unless you want it gone today. Good luck!! That may be on the high side but I'd start there and see how it works unless you need to move it quickly and in that case you need to add the dreaded "OBO" or...

QUOTE (canucker @ Jan 4 2010, 11:15 AM) We had our new Arctic Summit installed on November 20th and we just did our first empty and re-fill on New Year's Day. The filter we took out was not the same as the filter we put in...even though we asked for the correct disposable one at the Arctic store, and bought 3 for $100. (supposedly to last 9 months total?). The one we took out was in a cartridge, or casing...top...

QUOTE (Budge @ Feb 20 2009, 07:24 PM) My Arctic Spa is only seven months old and I am on my third issue since delivery (July 2008). My problems so far are as follows: -"FLO" error -Pump 1 replaced (it would not start on speed 1, speed 2 worked, but speed 1 would hum for a few seconds and then turn off) -The Onzen system stopped producing sanitizer (no more smokey streak from the ...

I should add a few more facts: The ozonator is a Fresh Water III The filters are practically new but I cleaned them anyway since I was changing the water Originally, I thought the circ pump problem was an air lock (I could see an air bubble in the inlet tube) which I "solved" by removing the filter and stand pipe that feeds the circ pump and forcing water into the hole with a hose which ...

First of all, once the humidity of the small amount of air beneath a conventional cover reaches a humidity level of 100% ZERO additional evaporation takes place. The time to reach a 100% humidity level is, oh, about 5 seconds. "Because of the spa environment the steam from the spa water eventually seeps into the foam and condenses in the little air spaces inside. This begins to happen almost as ...

Your salt level should be 2000 - 2500 ppm, was salt added at startup? Onzen is a two part system, ozone and salt water generator. Ozone production is controled by filtration cycles. To increase cl production you need to access low level programing and adjust the CP setting. Onzen manual should cover this.

The CEC has recently changed the way that they publish data so the direct spreadsheet download is no longer available. Go to this web site and then navigate to the pool section. The advanced search allows you to display most of the same data and you can download a spreadsheet from there.

The tape over the reset button doesn't hold it down, it's just to keep dirt out. If the reset button is tripped you will feel it click , it doesn't really pop up. If it keeps clicking when you push it then either the water in the heater is too hot or the reset is bad and the heater would need replacing. Make sure your circulation pump is pushing water - pull out the gray capped filter to ...

I had one of those at another house. It was a real good running spa for me. I bought mine in January 2007, and they sold out soon thereafter (in my area at least). So I would bet it's more like 2-1/2 to 3 years old. Make them show you a receipt. These cost $5000 new. They were sold out of the Costco warehouse as a carry-out item, not sold at Costco online, to the best of my knowledge...
