I don't run synthetic on the race engines as you never know how long they'll take to break in - much longer than with regular oil. I also run normal oil on the turbo Fiero, but then I use a reservoir of cool oil that feeds through the turbo for about 5 mins. after shut off, which pretty much eliminates ashing in the turbo. I change every 3000 anyway on that engine so synthetic probably wouldn't add much advantage.

The last 1/24th I saw had terible fit and finish. Nothing a few hours couldn't fix. I chose not to take it home for it's poor quality. I find th e1/18 pretty decent.

if i were you i would get the wide band AIR/FUEL sensor first. its an add
on kit for it. the 2.4 does not have a stock wide band so you cant read
real time A/F ratio without the kit. i got a daskhawk and i watch knock
retard, timing advance, oil temp, air intake temp, boost/vac then i put
coolant up on my DIC.

While the dealer did cooperate on the oil change, he lost all credibility by dissing mobil 1 oil. Why does the corvette, the 2.0 turbo and many other performance cars specifically specify Mobil 1 oil if it was "just the same as other good oils"??

I know many/most of you probably are either in balmy southern locales or put your cars away for the winter, but here in coastal BC we tend to use them all year (in my case as long as it doesn't snow).
This weather is really pointing out one lack in the Solstice, not a serious one, but...why didn't they include heated mirrors in the mix?

Exactly which parts will they not sell you? A lot of parts are universal
that you can buy from a lot of shops out there or make your own. But if
you're after their ecm programming i can see why they wouldn't sell it to
you since anyone can piece a turbo kit together, its the ecm that makes it
all work right.

those are both beutiful cars, I believe the ferrari in fff werris buelers day off was a kit car too
Myself, I believe a convertable is the way to go, if the sol coup came out before the drop top I would have paid to convert it
on the other hand, that hardtop ferrari is in my opinion the nicer build and the hard top will obviously have a stiffer frame over all so if handling is what you ...

The car market is way down right now. Everyone is taking a hit on used and
new cars. I went back to the dealership that I bought from and checked on
trading for an 09 GXP. They wanted 10 grand difference. I politely said no
thank you and left. They said my car was worth 17K . It's worth more than
that to me. So I will keep it. Sorry the hear that you are so bummed out
over this. Hang in there , ...

You could have hit a rock and heard it pop off the tire into the wheel well. Lets hope that is all it is. Could be a rear diff. Get into a open parking lot and drive in reverse slowly with the wheels turned completly left and then right and see if you hear anything.
