I was just watching the news and ANOTHER one got hit tonight, that's 6 since October 28th. The officer was hurt in this one but there are few details, only that he didn't recall the crash so they're taking him in for observation. Hey and guess what, they arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI

The appeals process is long because people on death row have turned out to be innocent, which means courts are probably reluctant to hurry along the process and find out later on they sent an innocent man to death. Homicide rates don't seem to have much at all to do with the death penalty, so yeah, I would say it is pretty ineffective, over all. Just toss'm in jail and be done with it. Waste of money and time otherwise.

Agreed, DAL. Sexual abuse of a child is such a terrible thing that false allegations can have terrible effects. If you remember the Mcmartin Pre-School trial, there were many kids who made false allegations, some even identified Chuck Norris as their abuser.
