I was just watching the news and ANOTHER one got hit tonight, that's 6 since October 28th. The officer was hurt in this one but there are few details, only that he didn't recall the crash so they're taking him in for observation. Hey and guess what, they arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI

Well, Taylor... in prison you don't want to be a white guy that appears to be anything but white. He wouldn't want to look like a man of middle eastern descent with a traditional muslim beard.

The appeals process is long because people on death row have turned out to be innocent, which means courts are probably reluctant to hurry along the process and find out later on they sent an innocent man to death. Homicide rates don't seem to have much at all to do with the death penalty, so yeah, I would say it is pretty ineffective, over all. Just toss'm in jail and be done with it. Waste of money and time otherwise.

Agreed, DAL. Sexual abuse of a child is such a terrible thing that false allegations can have terrible effects. If you remember the Mcmartin Pre-School trial, there were many kids who made false allegations, some even identified Chuck Norris as their abuser. Also from the article: "Some of the abuse was alleged to have occurred in secret tunnels beneath the school. Several investigations turned up evidence of old buildings on the site and...

Being in Texas - seeing someone that might be CC (If it's truly concealed, we shouldn't see it!), at least around here isn't that big of a deal. I know my felons and others who can't own a handgun in my town. I don't believe I've ever had a stop based off the fact that someone might be CCW.

I'm sorry you had to experience what you saw regarding that 8 year old boy. I'm sure it will be with you forever. I do not offer any excuse for anybody guilty of a DUI. I only wish to offer the flip side of the coin. If that accident is still with you today, imagine what its doing to him. Imagine being arrested for a DUI by the same man who tried soooo hard to save your son. Profound ...

nmahon1, Krav maga and Ed Parker Kenpo is the way to go. Krav maga is more in use and suggest it over anything because it takes realistic situations is more pragmatic. Ed Parker Kenpo is also a candidate because is basically American Street Fighting. The only problem with Kenpo is the lack of ground fighting techniques which where Krav maga comes in.

Don't see a problem, except for the creepy picture. Everyone is entitled to good representation, and if they specialize in defenses for that then I'd go with them too if I was accused as such. It seems they do a lot more then that, they have pages from simple possession to murder.
