G21, because I am biased. I haven't seen anything wrong with the XD although I feel the trigger reset is too long on the models I have played with as well as my wife's XD9C.

If you buy the P.E.P.R. mount, the top half of the rings are picatinny mounts so you can mount a holographic dot sight there like a fastfire or such and have the speed and ability to get on target while wearing a gas mask/helmet. As a matetr of fact, you can buy the unit from Midway with the mount and the fastfire all in one package.

Proper Storage of a Firearm
Published (2009-11-06 19:42:00)
If you are in California I caution you about what you use to lock your fire arms up with. One needs to use approved locking systems or safes. That’s not to say what you use isn’t sufficient, just if it is defeated and it isn’t on the approved list of locks and safes then you’ve added to your whoas. If children could potentially have access it’s all the more important. You’re better off using an approved paper bag, than a non...

I don't know why, but the SAO (Single Action Only) version of the SIG P220 never seems to get the attention that it should. It has several advantages over the standard 1911 type pistols, including: 1) A safety system that can remain engaged while operating the slide for loading, unloading and conducting chamber checks. 2) Ambidextrous safeties as standard on all versions. 3) The same level of reliability with JHP ammo as any other...

Factory guns for sale about $1000 which is about twice PD price but you can't get them from PD unless you are PD, so dealers wanting one pay twice, they used to pay 5 times cost, now only 2 times. http://www.dealernfa.com/Glock_18.htm

Make sure the firearm is completely cleaned, especially the barrel. Coat it with good gun oil. They have gun sleeves you can put it in. Remington has a moisture guard oil for long term storage. Will it be somewhere in the house..garage??

The caliber debate is blown out of proportion. There is nothing wrong with 9mm. There is no magic bullet that stops with 1 round. Some people who get shot with a .22 die and some that get shot with a .45 live. Anything between 9mm and .45 will be fine for duty use. Some people are just harder to kill.

So you want to buy an AR-15, huh? Well, you came to the right place. I carried a Smith wheel gun for the first 5 years of my career. Great gun and phenomenal accuracy. Needless to say I was a bit sick when I had to turn it in for a S&W 5906.

I can't vote in that poll with a good conscience. If this were to be my first .45, I'd go with the Springfield XD Tactical .45. If you didn't want the Tactical, then I'd get the 21SF.

Assemblers Aside from these choices, basically what you will be buying is a kit-build from one of several big name shops, or small custom shops. These rifles will be your best bets for a high-end rifle. These builds are based off the following kits: Romanian "G" kit in 7.62X39 Polish AKMS underfolder kit in 7.62X39 Polish Tantal kit in 5.45X39 Yugo M70B2 underfolder kit in 7....

Is your rifle not functioning properly? Does it have a very high round count? Do you just have extra money burning a whole in your pocket? If you just "want to", then get an H Buffer and Wolff Extra Power spring. It will increase (slightly) the rifle's lockup time, and therefore allow for easier extraction (increasing its reliability).

The factory magazines work perfect, the new production Korean magazines work perfect but are hard to load the first couple times. The Scherer brand units not so good, the metal USA glock magazines are total crap.

I used to carry a LDA 14-45 and had Hoffner Holsters make me a duty holster for it. It has a thick kydex body lined with suede, a leather belt loop, and a thumb snap. You can adjust the tension of the holster body on the gun so I guess that makes it a level two. I don't carry that gun anymore, maybe this will work for you. Send me a PM if you're interested.

Oooh nice boomstick! I had a toss up between the Benelli or a Police Magnum 870. I had way more trigger time with the 870 so I took it. The Benelli is a sexy looking gun though.
