I then went back to the lab to get my pokedex and pokeballs. On the way I got the running shoes off "mom" and went back to Odale and headed off to the route off Odale to catch a Lotad as a team addition. i also wanted to catch a Zigzagoon as a HM slave. I succeeded in both of these and battled all of the trainers on the way to Petalburg. I reached Petalburg and went to see Norman. Annoyingly I had to go with Wally and catch a...

After my last challenge was mysteriously erased, I've decided to do another one. Instead of a theme team, this time I'm doing a single pokémon challenge. The pokémon that I will be using is Kingler. Now, I can't catch a Krabby until late on in the game, so I'm going to use a GameShark code to nab one early on. If you haven't noticed, I'm doing this on a FireRed ROM. I hope you enjoy my logs. With that, I will...

I've played through most of Platinum on ROM, and it's fairly easy. Have a romaji table ready and you'll be able to decipher the names of Pokémon, and that's normally enough.

Me. I know very little about the language, but I just play it. Name's of Pokémon are very easy to recognise for me, and some attacks as well, but overall, I don't understand the dialogue one bit, save for the more obvious ones. Pokémon isn't really a game where you require understanding of the language to be able to play it. I've pretty much gone through the entire Platinum game without knowing almost any of what's...

How many of you have played through a Japanese pokemon game with little or no knowledge of the Japanese language? Is it extremely hard? I was thinking about buying Platinum in the near future, but about the only thing I'd be able to do is type my name in Japanese characters for the begining. xD But yeahhh. Thanks for your time!

I've decided to restart sapphire as i've transfered all my pokemon to Diamond, whats the point in keeping my currnet save? This is going to be themed water type. Here we go! Met Prof. Birch, he told me what a pokemon was (duh) and strangely asked me if I was male or female, I though "get glasses fool". I said I was male. He asked me my name, fair enough. I called myself "Al". Then I shrunk ...

Well, as I'm nearing the end of my "mono-team: grass" challenge, I figured I'd ask you guys (whom I'm assuming are reading my thing, as it has almost 400 views) what my next should be. If we go for a mono-type challenge again, I'm thinking Steel, Dark, or Ghost. If we go for a mono-Pokemon challenge... just suggest one. And make it interesting; I want it to turn out pretty cool like that ...

As you all probably know I have anouther thread asking for your opinions on which Pokemon to chose for my single Pokemon challenge and well you chose Nincada. So here you go. I don't know about anybody else, but I'm getting kind of tired of the format of the handheld Pokemon RPGs. It seems to me that besides new Pokemon, a new region, and a new enemy team whose motifs make no sense, each new Pokemon game doesn't really offer anything, well, new. Red and Blue were just classics; Gold and Silver were worthy sequels; Ruby and Sapphire managed to bring at least ...
