Hi I have a medion GoPal 2, Its finally driving me insane its about 3 years out of date and keeps taking me to the
wrong places ect. I looked online for new maps but there over £100 I can buy a new satnav for that!! Is there anyway I can update this cheaper???
Also ive tried to put POI on it and got nowhere....so an idiots guide to how i update ect will be very much appreciated

Check all your SETTINGS (there are several of sets of these on different screens) in case they need to be turned on. Come back if that's not the problem.

What model of Navigon do you have? Some already have TMC.
The signal is via FM (normally classic FM) so reception can be patchy, unfortunately there's not a easy way to figure out if you will get good reception. Some people have gone to great lengths to get a good TMC signal. _________________ Navigon 8450 LIVE (Weather and

Well, how about that - available from the French site since 2 November and still a 2-3 week wait shown on the German site If it's really got VM info on it maybe that's where I'll buy it from .
Do you have an electronic copy of the
User Guide you might be able to email me by any chance? There's still no sign of it on the sites (even the French one). And no mention of VM on the ...

Not sure.
But depending on the software on your gps you may be able to use POI-Warner from HERE (opens in a new window).

I can't be sure without the
user manual, but is there possibly an option under settings to select internal memory/sd card/both?

Navigon advise me that
screen protectors can block the GPS signal sometimes & affect performance of the touchscreen. I find this hard to believe. Is there any truth to there claim. If not who would be the best supplier of a good protector?

I've just done a simulation from Horseferry House/Bridge to Pall Mall and the featureless grey '3D City View'
building blocks certainly came up, together with the Parliament 'Landmark View'. I'm not sure how far out from the centre this feature covers.
