Strange, apart from displaying the keyboard at startup, the inport worked fine for me. I checked that the correct files had been created too.

Nope, all screwed up again. It goes through the import and removes the .csv file from copilot\save but doesn't create anything in copilot\EU\UK\save\user_places...

All now working - lots of subtle changes - no new keyboard though. For anyone else trying this, follow the thread as it seems to work ok.

In CoPilot Central, go to Central, Options then tick Display Previously Downloaded Content and the update should return.

Yes, but then you get warnings off your route, which is a bit daft...why would I want a warning on a side road ! Anyway, a Happy Christmas Mike, to you and yours ! ps Even dafter, why would CP8 want to 'ding' you, right , virtually, on top of the camera....should tie in with the 1000 yards or whatever setting you choose.

Having followed the advice from adamwolfe - Uninstalled CoPilot Central 2.0, then re-installed the latest version 2.0.0.65, I was able to download the PocketPC Uodate - Yay I'm now playing with the program to try and find if there is indeed a QWERTY keyboard in there - but haven't found it yet !

Roger I did not download from Sygic, as it was too expensive Instead I bought the complete Europe (East and West) from Teleatlas as a retail pack. This came pre-installed on a 4GB micro SD card. There was also a DVD which enabled you to install it on your own microSD card. That is what I did, because I wanted more room for other apps and music. If the new version you're referring to is 8.0.0.493, then at least on my Hero and according to ALK support it's broken. It starts okay, and I can navigate to any of the quick stop locations, but if I select "Destination" or "My Places" the app force closes.
On the up side, it does appear to import POI's again though.
I raised a ticket with ALK Support who, to be fair came ...

Pretty sure it uses some random number generator...
Given it knows your location, it wouldn't be rocket science to make it able to calculate local sunrise/sunset times.

In the Android version all you have to do is delete/rename the "cppwelcome. ogg" file in the directory for the voice you have selected. I have no idea if this works in the WinMob version however.

CoPilot have released an update to 8.0.0.555 for Windows Mobile Smartphone so I will have to see if this fixes the problem. Still no reply to my email to CoPilot support except to acknowledge that they have received it.

I've set the distance at 1000yds, and they sometimes, (note, sometimes) show up. But why does the ding dong also not operate at the chosen distance, instead of right on top of the camera.? And where does my ding dong come from ? I can't see how I put it in or how I can change it.
