Roasted (?) Chicken and Potatoes (This is also Gluten Free... my middle son has Celiac) I'm not sure what to call this, and I can't find where I got it originally anymore. I'm still trying to get this one JUST right - I absolutely have to note here that I have yet to get it where the potatoes are completely cooked. I've been told to parboils the taters but I haven't tried the recipe again ...

I'm 19 and looking for a fudge recipe, I've never made it and I'm always buying it. I suck at baking and stuff but I want to learn. I have heard its a bit difficult but I don't mind making a bit of a mess. If it's too difficult I'll get someone to assist me but getting the recipe may be a good start. Does anyone know a basic fudge recipe?Possibly idiot proof? (lol) Like something you'd find in...

Not wanting to hijack the King Crab thread, time for a new crab thread! It will soon be cooler weather and with that comes out my stock pots, and the wintery recipes. Chili, stew, and of course crab soup. I will post two recipes for she-crab soup but honestly I haven't seen crab roe so it would be rather hard to call it she-crab without it. I haven't tried the 82 queen recipe, but I ...

usually kahawai or any type of thick base fish is appropriate for this dish, cut fish into cubes, soak over night in lemon juice, which basically takes away the raw affect, then add coconut cream, chopped cellery, chopped capsicum green and red just gives it that colour look, grapes hole, onions finally chopped, parsley finely chopped, green onion chopped into thin rings, sprinkle with a couple...

Hi! I've never posted on these forums before but reading this morning out of laziness and decided to pick some brains here for my SATC party next weekend. Of course, there will be Cosmos. And I have this huge oversized martini glass which I intend to fill w/ shrimp****ail. I saw Giada Di Laurentis make this yummy looking marinated goat cheese sitting in a lettuce bowl (individual) yesterday...

KFC® Potato Salad Here's a simple clone for the potato salad that is purchased as a side dish from America's largest fast food chicken chain. Some of the skin is left on the potatoes in the real thing, so you don't have to peel them too thoroughly. Just be sure to chop your potatoes into cubes that are approximately 1/2-inch thick, and then let the salad marinate for at least 4 hours so ...

I was probably 15 or 16 when some friends of one of my sisters stayed over for the night; one of them (I blushingly recall) was a very attractive girl/woman from an exotic, far-off place called Rhode Island. I caught a glimpse of her is a seductive teal-colored "teddy," that- Ahem, well. I was 15, she was probably 18. And all I got was a glimpse. The point is, she brought with her a bottle of...

Do you have a favorite "secret ingredient" that you add to a dish to make it instantly seem like a gourmet meal? For me, it's carmelized onions with garlic slices on most meat dishes (works every time!). I got to thinking about this after I browned polenta slices with onions and garlic for dinner, tossed on bagged spinach to cook just a few minutes before the dish was done. Another favorite ...

I’m no Andy Zimmern, but I’ve tried to think outside the box while traveling. Thailand- Fried Grasshoppers. Pretty good. Heavily seasoned and crunchy. Like chips. Denmark- Wild boar. Wonderful. Roasted with béarnaise and pommes frites. Italy- Rabbit in tomato sauce over pasta. Wonderful. France- Frogs legs and escargots. Can’t get enough. Nawleans- Alligator tail in hot sauce. More ...

I thought the crab legs I purchased were pre-cooked before they were frozen, but alas they aren't. All the sites I'd visited to plan to prepare them on the grill were for 6-9 minutes to heat threw from frozen, (pre-cooked). Well there is no time table for raw frozen or thawed legs for a grill, and I'd appreciate some input as to approximate timing for semi thawed.

Here is a method for ribs from a Detroit rib joint!! So easy, yet the ribs come out falling off the bone, moist meat, finger lickin' good! Baby back ribs, remove the skin on the underside of the ribs Place in a deep baking pan, pour 1/2 can Coca cola over the ribs, cover with aluminum foil with vent slits. Bake at 325 to 350 degrees for 2 hrs, remove and drain off liquid, apply sauce and ...

Some say - some foods can clean your system. I'm curious as to what foods or drinks actually act as an anti-toxin - and how. What food or juice do you know of can improve or help rid the body of toxins - and can you provide the recipes and answer how they can benifit anyone. Thanks in advance :) Your advice may help many :)

OK, so you go out for a drink, but you want to stay in shape... guess it rules out Pina Colada... what's a good low calorie drink then? Other than wine?

I am having 70 people to a surprise birthday party. I need 1 more great appetizer that is fairly easy because I only have a couple of hours to prepare for the guests. I already have hummus & Pita, Tabbouleh and a salad. If you have any idea about something that is fairly simple and tastes great PLEASE let me know.

I love Northern Italian cooking, especially Italian with the French and Bavarian influences, though I do love some southern and Sicillian dishes too. I am making a dinner Monday and having 7 people over. It is basically Italian, though not straight forward, but as long as it is good... I love all Italian foods except pasta and I was wondering if any of you have any great Italian dishes or meals...
