I respectfully disagree with you. Borderlands , I believe, is the best selling new IP in 2009 and also of the 2000's in general. It's not a sequal, as all the other big games were this year and most years past. It took a leap of faith with the art style and for my eyes it really paid off. Try Modern Warfare 2 (It has 23 missions for local co-op, it's a real challenge on the hardest difficulty), Borderlands, Resistance Fall of Man, Resident Evil 5 (this is a GREAT game for co-op), Army of Two.    

I had two trophies glitch and not show up on me - master exploder and fence. I had to start a new character to get those trophies. It's a really common problem in this game. Hope that helps.

lol i got 2.2 kdr which i dont care about -stats dont make the game fun, its the gameplay. Also, i play almost all types of game modes (except TPS and HCTDM) . its a lot of fun. Sometimes i own, sometimes i get owned. The fact that there are more than 500 k people on each day , also all the DLC that is still to come makes this game a long lasting fun. if this game doesnt do it for you anymore - go play KZ2 again - 6 guns and dissapearing...
