Just keep trying, others have had this issue (I have also) and what i did was i kept trying, if you get an error when trying to sync your profile just try again & repeat, it worked for me so i hope this works for you - Good luck!

You wired or wireless ? I suspect your download issues are due to PSN - it is "SLOW" on the movie download - wont hurt to ensure you have latest firmware upgrade on router though- this is specially true for the 54GS (their latest firmware is night and day from original) - then again it IS a 54G ;-)
