I had to replace the whole steering system, because Dodge knew they had a problem and made all of the replacement parts where you had to replace the whole deal from tie rod end to tie rod end, drag link, center section, and the steering stabilizer. Unless its just me the lid/cover looks to be made of old refrigerator doors if I am not mistaken. Very unique for sure! yes chrysler did do a recall, they have changed the steering system 3 times now. the new set up is a whole new assembly with bigger diameter parts. 1 Good thing about Chrysler, they always are changing something and Recalling it not long after the vehicle is off the assembly line. SO if you can do it all under warranty or recall, you can afford to drive chryslers lol.
