We ALREADY got our swisher. Here's the pitch! SWISH! Strike one Here's the pitch! SWISH! Strike two Here's the pitch! SWISH! Strike three, you're OUT! And Adam LaRoche goes down swinging for the third consecutive time today.

Both. Although "gazillions" may be overstating it. He has had 3 pretty good years in a row, and set up innings do count. It just depresses me when middle relievers on other teams get more than we are willing to spend on position players. Maybe I will feel differently tomorrow, but Buccs, I'm more than halfway to saying that you have a point.

I just saw a CBS sports report which said six MLB teams are interested in signing JB? Did he suddenly become good, another pitcher who blossomed once they left Pittsburgh, or is the dearth of MLB lefties so great that any portsider can get signed for $$$$ gazillions?

Now that the Yanks just traded for Nick Swisher we can put the Nady deal in some perspective. The White Sox traded a TON for Nick Swisher from the A's last year and within one year of him struggling send him to the Yanks for infielder Wilson Betemit and minor league pitchers Jeff Marquez and Jhonny Nunez. Swisher is 27, two years younger than Nady, and his numbers are higher (basically much ...
