Tyson is just a family dog. He stays on the chain while we're not home, and when we are home he gets off and runs around the yard, plays with his toys &&who ever is willing to let a Pittie give big slobby kisses to the face, and sometimes he gets to play with Lady/Missy my other dogs. When we took him to the vet, they weighed him and said he was at 82 pounds I think that was it, but they said ...

my apbt Fritz is basically 2 years old now, I am not intending on breeding him (i know i could prevent accidents easily). I am mostly considering it for health reasons. If I do it, I read that it will help minimize the risk for certain cancers such as testicular and perianal. . BUT I HAVE READ IT INCREASES THE RISK FOR OTHER CANCERS SUCH AS A CERTAIN BONE CANCER AND IT CAN CAUSE ...

Had my male pup's ear's cropped exactly two weeks ago. The vet that did it is a friend of my inlaws and he did it for me after hours at home. He has a small facility at his house that he uses for emergencies sometimes and for animals with "questionable" injuries that need to be tended to by a professional. I was very happy with the job and I was amazed at how symetrical they are. I asked him...

My dog is about 20 months old. She started limping about a month ago. I was concerned but couldn't find anything wrong with her no swelling or cuts nothing in her paw. She seemed to improve and would sometimes walk for a while without limping but would than go lame again. She is just a house dog so the most work she sees is walks or running in the yard. Well 2 days ago I decided she needed to ...

We were just introduced to this today. We have had a problem in the last week or so with fleas and had the exterminator out for the second time and sprayed the yard so I wanted to kill all the fleas on the dogs at the same time. This is a pill, at our vet $8 for dogs over 55lbs, $6 55lbs and under. It starts working within 20 minutes and kills everything on your dog for 24 hours. We just tried ...

I know a bunch of the old keeps call for some toasted wheat bread with honey, salmon oil, flax oil, etc spread on top as a source of complex carbs. This isn't a debate on whether or not dogs needs carbs, but just asking if anyone still uses wheat bread while conditioning a dog? And if so, has anyone ever looked into using Ezekiel bread? It's supposed to be more complete nutritionally than ...

I've been reading up on feeding a raw diet now for over a year and I'm finally at the point where I'd feel comfortable doing it. BUT I don't know where to get any RMB's! Every site says "go to your local butcher" but real butchers are rare... do they mean just any old meat retailer or what? HELP. Anyone who feeds raw, where do you get your meat? Also, how much do you usually pay? I ...

Do they grow back in dogs like Humans. I think China must have snagged on on something and it's all puffy and red around it. I think the whole thing may fall out.
