ugh I kinda flubbed the links - for "here are the requirements for a potentially dangerous dog, the other category is vicious which must involve an attack from the sounds of it"- it is the second link only - http://www.co.el-dorado.ca.us/AnimalSer ... slaws.html

I'd suggest working through a reputable rescue, both for your protection and above all, for the dog's protection. Here are two in San Diego: Pit Bull Rescue San Diego Type Pit Bull and/or Amstaff Rescue Contact Name Kate John Address PMB 368, 5694 Mission Center Road #602 San Diego, CA 92108 USA Contact Email admin@pitbullrescuesandiego.com Website www.pitbullrescuesandiego.com Phone, ...

How much free time and patience do you have? There's a dog in my neighborhood that jumps his fence from time to time and wanders out into the street who is very people weary. I almost always have treats on me, so I'll just toss a treat or two towards him/her (gently so you don't scare the pup) and just be very unassuming in my posture (no eye contact, do not face the dog head on but rather stand/...

What does the "potentially dangerous dog" info say? I doubt they'll keep them from you, but they may have some stipulations. I imagine you're going to keep them in more secure areas from now on? Do they still have possession of the dogs? And how did they ALL get out? Were they in the same pen?

wow , My pup destroyed all the slippers I used around the house a total of 3, and 2 pairs of converse sneakers. Destroyed almost all the toys I got her , but nothing else as of yet since I don't allow her anymore.

i saw a video of that magazine on youtube, there demo. yeah theres alot of thuggish pics but thats because its targeted toward the urban crowd, and they recognize the breed as american bully and not APBT. also i think thats good because they shows the "kids" that they should have a nice dog so they can take to conventions and stuff. im all for the magazine, i actually would like to subscribe ...

Isn't Maddox a dream???? I've been working with all three of those dogs you mentioned this week. Chili is a BIG kisser - one of those "I'll leap for your face to kiss you" kind of kissers. She's a definite handful, and needs a whole lot more energy-release than the shelter life can provide for her. Shingle is GORGEOUS - stocky little blue fawn, sweet as can be, a real looker. Maddox has ...

Thank you for the response. Yeah, I thought people might suggest crating all of them. I think that maybe the idea of dogs is different in a rural area. We have always had farm dogs. We love them to death, but the role a dog plays on the farm is a lot different than in town. Also, I personally believe that there isn't much a dog loves more then being free and able to patrol the property. Anyhow...

This is getting ridiculous. Every day it seems like this happens to people. I am absolutely disgusted. Yet people will defend the officers until they are blue in the face. "The officer thought his life was in danger and had every right to shoot." This is why I laugh when people tell me that officers aren't trigger happy punks on a power rage. I seriously hope that woman sues the police ...

Very few home owners insurance cover the breed, along with huskies, dobes, rotties, etc. Any so called dangerous breeds. State Farm doesn't care usually and there's a few more that don't discriminate but you might have to do some calling around.

Dog shows generally require everyone to keep their dogs on-lead. Maybe they're just using the dog park as the event location? Now, if there are going to be a bunch of off-leash dogs running around, playing, that's a different story.
