You didn't say which Glock. Glocks are
great guns especially the 19 and 23. The advantages of the SIGs are a choice of trigger types, 22 conversion kits and the ability to change calibers. if for instance, you buy a 40, you can convert it to a 357 by buying a barrel. It can be converted to a 9 by buying a barrel, magazine and I believe one other piece. I just love the way the 226 feels in...

Revolvers are simpler to operate and generally more reliable than autoloading pistols. Other than that, it all comes down to personal preference. Either one is deadly in the hands of a proficient shooter. If you are new to handguns, I'd recommend starting with a .
22 rimfire. The only way to become proficient with a handgun is to shoot it.... LOTS. Some qualified instruction is also a good ...

Your money, your choice. Personally, I wouldn't own a Taurus again - I've owned two in the past, and they both had serious issues. Porting.... on a .454 Casull, .
475 Linebaugh, or something similar, yup. On a .357?? No need whatsoever. If you want a whole lot of wheelgun for the money, see if you can score an old Ruger Security Six. The secret is getting out, though, and you can't find 'em ...

welcome. why dont you look for a gun rental range in your area and do some testing of various calibers and platforms/brands. i dont hunt, but from other posts with reagards to bear, iirc, a 357 was the smallest you would want. of course, others will have better first hand experince. but, you woud have a better idea of platform/brand if you try some out.

welcome. and i hope you passed on/mentored some of those quick draw skills to someone. imo, i belive youre on the right track to find a gun rental range to try the guns you are interested in. I think you cant go wrong with the Glock since they are considered really reliable. But as with any
man made machine, anything can go wrong at any time. If youre going to be using a semi auto for ...
