I love their setup. I don't think I would want to build one myself though unless I were at a fabshop like BTF. It must have taken forever. As far as the extra link, I dont honestly know but something that just came to mind is keeping the load on the box in check. If you imagine the front end drooped all the way out the angle of the drag to the axle would be steeper. If you hit a rock or something that forced the drag link backwards...

I'm not interested in argueing with you. I mention durometer value because the 2nd series of numbers in the timbren part number is each springs durometer rating and thats why some have the same nominal size but different performance characteristics. in other words 75 is harder than a 65 and a lot harder than a 45. An example of the kind of answer I was looking for to the question in my origanal post is... Yes, Iam curently running...

I am able, right now (or within a few weeks time), to offer the guts of a Jeep I6 stroker kit. I wanted some input from you guys on this. Do you like the parts list? Would you buy for this price? I am shooting for a price of $1000 USD Included: One 4.2L, 4 counterweight short snout stroker crank . BRAND NEW (no this is not a typo). Balanced. Needs no polish or grind as it ...

I've attached the spreadsheet screen shots of the front and rear link suspension. I've probably been through a dozen iterations of each. My goals were to keep the roll axis negative to obtain predictable on road handling, to avoid adding suspension cross members, and to keep anti-squat and anti-dive relatively consistent through the range of suspension travel.

Ian, I love the cage man, I am thinking of building something similar. Just curious, if you know off the top of your head, what is the angel degree for the two rear bends that angel the cage down. I was thinking 135, but wasn't sure.

I wanna know your numbers. Your front setup scares the nuts off me. Ideally you want the upper link as flat as possible, yes, however it seems you took that a little too technical. So tell me sepration at axle and frame and link length. Both upper and lower lengths. More pics of rear? EDIT: This mostdefinatly does not belong in Hardcore. Delete this thread and ask ...

Take your pick. There are guys running the stock 4L60e, 350 or 400, and the 700r4. There are even guys running a nv4500, nv3550, and granny gear 4 spds. Its pretty much dependent upon what you want to do.

Well I thought I would throw something together as this is an ongoing project. I have learned so much from this site I bought a 1 ton Vortec TJ in 08. It was supposed to be a turnkey ready to wheel rig. The price was right so I pounced. But upon arrival I quickly found that the Jeep was far from ready to wheel. It had “0” miles on it since it was built and other than bumpers was 100% ...
