I will fix it by sprinkling a lil bit o rear steer on it. Came with u-joints. Luckily the seller knew what he was doing and rebuilt the parts and was not going to assemble them until he was ready to put them under the rig. So loading them onto the trailer was easier. That being said, I forgot how much these thing weigh. The third is close to 400#, the 1/2" thick housing is the lightest part of these things. Since I will be moving...

I have my pos set up with hydro steering and I am using a John Deer Combine steering valve. it turns WAY to fast to be of any use in the washed getting to the trail. I cant drive much fast then 20-25 or it becomes way to touchy. I was told I can slow the flow down by putting in a ball valve to slow the fluid flow. to me that doesnt sound right! at this time I can buy a new ...

I was at a local mechanic who has an old 86 dodge one ton sitting there waiting to be take to the junkyard. We started bullshitting about the axles because I have been looking for a pair. I know they have 4.10's they are both dana 60's (front and rear) and he says the rear has a posi-trac. I have a few questions, is the rear a full floater? Will they fit under my jeep? What's the spline count on ...

Ok, I'm gonna be running 15x8 steelies with 2.5" bs. Reverse center rim. Tires are 37x14.50 Maxxis Creepies. My understanding is that with these wheels, beadlocks are all but impossible, but, with that wide of a tire on those rims. Will it matter? I typicaly run about 8-10 psi. Do you think I'll be breaking may beads? I have a full size spare.

I am thinking of making my 48 willys pickup into a 4door to have more room and to haul more people. A suburban is out of the question (ugly, hard to find). has anyone done this (pics). And is there a program that I could actually use to build something like that, and see a finished product on the computer? What are you thoughts on this and how do you think it would look?

I recently sold my K5 blazer and have bought another TJ. This build has been on going and because of request from some members here I am going to put a good portion of the build to this site and continue to update it here from here out. Im the process of moving my front end forward for a total of 15-18" and my concern is moving it to far forward that the tires will start rubing on my grill. Trying to find that happy medium, but only want to do this once and be happy with it. The axel is sitting almost even with the grill now... Wondering if thats two far forward?

BUT i realized i was lifting the frame streight up, causing both wheels to drop at the same time. this wouldnt happen on the trail (unless im ...

Journey. The word, for me, conjures up many images from my child hood to adulthood, were I have made mistakes, been embarrassed, learned a lesson and sometimes have succeeded. I have been fortunate enough to have embarked on many travels across the country and around the world. From this stance, I have found that the best journey is the journey you take with nothing. Since you have ...

Hey guys, I just wanted to pick some of your brains about building a front four link. I'm getting ready to swap an '86 Ford HP60 into the front of my '99 TJ. Since I'm going with (full) hydraulic steering, I want to triangulate the lowers and keep the uppers straight to keep the Jeep low (think BTF's Viper Project). I was thinking about just building a cross member on the frame side and ...

Not too hardcore but I just bought an 02 LQ9 and I am installing in my 84' Jeep Scrambler (I'll be sure to post up a comprehensive install). What engine mounts do you guys recommend????? I did search here and came up with next to nothing. I know about the novak ones but are there any others. I tried MORE as that is what I like for AMC motors and they don't have any direct replacements....
