Hey guys i have 91 ford explorer and i have a 4 link set up with about 14 inches of lift I broke my bilstein coil overs, So i ordered the fox 2.5 air shocks. Do you think they are strong enough to hold the front end up and get proper ride hieght?? Im guessing the front weights around 1500 lbs, since all the front IFS is gone and its a solid axle, maybe 1800 lbs. Just looking for...

A few updated pics of mine (sorry about the fte banner, these be the only ones i got): Currently the truck is torn apart as i'm rebuilding the front lift (broke a leaf, doesn't sit level due to sagged springs, plus i want to strenghten the frame), but its 6" lift, 60f10.25r both with 4.10's and lockrights, 400/435/205 combo, the motor just has a pre smog timing set, edlebrock single plane ...

Most people would think it crazy, but has anyone done a 5.4 ford conversion? I have been looking for a 5.3 gm and came across a 2000 expadition that all the body parts are junk on. It is a 5.4, automatic, 4x4 with about 105,000 miles, still runs and drives. I like fords so this would be cool unless it is going to be unfavorable compared to a 5.3 (they are simular in power I believe). It would be ...

I have been meaning to do this for awhile so here goes. This little axle swap has been going on since Nov. 2007 and its about time for a ride. It started as a nice 73 Bronco with a 60 rear and 44 front and I was just going to put a 60 up front but the thought of rear steer was too common to forget. Here is a before pic. and then one with the rockwells sitting under before deciding to narrow ...

i put together a dual transfer case setup, bw 13-56 with a custom adapter to a np205. i dont like the idea of oil pissing out of the 13 56 output shaft bearing and filling up my adapter with oil/fluid. just wondering what some of have done to prevent this or if there is any issue at all. im thinking about getting a custom seal made to press against the output shaft bearing. the borg warner ...

I'd just run Rockwells.....probably cheaper in the long run, but if you can find a relatively cheap D60F and 1 ton rear that'd probably be more street friendly.

Novak and Advanced Adapters make a plate so you can bolt up a AX-15 or NV3550 to a Ford small block. Would this work on the 4.0 V6? Is there a better manual transmission I can swap in behind the 4.0?

Over the last 5 months i have been buying parts and talking with buddies to see how we could build one killer f250. I purcahsed a 91 with a 460, zf5 spd, bw1356 case and a sterling 10.25 in the rear not a bad base to start with as f350 gassers are hard to find up here and not that cheap. suspension: running as some people would say "old school" parallel 4link with 08 f350 coils and using ...

For those of you who don't know it.Those Warn winches they market as made in USA are actually half breeds assembled in US with some domestic and some import parts which includes the heart of the beast the motor. Before purchase I had done some research on this which included calling Warn HQ and was told they were made in USA.After purchasing a M8000 for my EB the first three items pulled out of ...
