Also just figured out driveshaft is gonna be right where my exhaust is with the 205. Probably gotta make a new crossmember too, to have more droop to clear driveshaft. Wonder what else I find that won't fit. I guess it's not that much really, considering that I won't be breaking a 205 anytime soon.

I've never seen a 1979 front Dana 60 with the big external style lockout like that axle has. I thought those were only on the pre-1978 low pinion front Dana 60's (and obviously the HD 44's). terrible motor. A roomate went through 3 2.9's in his wheeler over the course of a year. IIRC the heads like to crack between the valves, and between the cylinders. Does'nt really matter, a crack's a crack. New head time or lots of barsleak and sell it. Not worth fixing up. A really crappy motor.

Don't forget you will need to come up with an inner axle seal, look at what the makers of the aftermarket housings use for ideas. Make sure the spline angle of the diff you use is the same as your axles, IIRC there are some aftermarket spools out there that use a different spline angle. You will need an aftermarket third to run almost any 35 spline diff in a 9", there are 35 spline spools that ...

It is entirely possible the spindle got deformed and preventing the nut from coming off. Depending on how bad the spindle is the housing may be ruined. I used to repair housings, in this case to weld a new spindle on would be more than a new housing.

Your truck is OBD-II. There are quite a few different symptoms for a bad CMP sensor, and yours is one of them. It is possible that is your problem but there may be other issues. A bad CMP sensor is a well known sensor issue on this engine. To get codes from your truck you will need a scanner like a snap-on "brick" which is almost obsolete these days so they may be reasonably priced. The parts ...

I think they have a glitch in their computer. There shouldn't be any difference in frame, or body between a regular cab, super cab, or crew cab that would effect header design.
I would just order headers for a regular cab.
