and its a fawking allen head bolt to boot. When I tore my Dana 60 apart for a complete rebuild, one of the allen head bolts snapped off. I would soak it with some PB Blaster overnite before I tried to pull it off. Gotta love them good ol' Bendix brakes.

Mercy guys, trying to help my 83 year old dad out. He has a 2002 Trailblazer that is in need of tires. So he went to drop the spare from underneath and fubared the winch mechanism. The cable hung up about half way down. Ended up having the neighbor kid bend up the wedge that holds the spare in place. He is saying that it seems like the gears are stripped as the cable will not go up or...

I am going to make a drive shaft out of square tubing so that it can slide in and out long enough to go with the flex and not get put into a bind. What size tubing should be used? I have 1 1/2" od tubing and 1 5/8" id tubing. Just want to see if this would be good enough or is this what most people use when they do this? they are both 3/16" thickness. Any input is cool. Now that I actually have some pictures of my rig I might as well start a build thread. It started out as a '94 s10 blazer 4.3 vortech, auto trans, auto shift t-case. Bought it for $100. When I bought it the starter would turn a little bit and then lock up. I bought it in January 08, first time it drove more than on and off a trailer was a week ago for some yard wheeling, pics at the end of ...

There's a wrecked '89 K1500 with a 4.3 and 5speed for sale that I thought would be a good donor vehicle for a motor swap in my Tracker. The only thing I'm concerned about is my rear driveline length. Does anybody know how long the tranny and transfer case is from the front of the bellhousing to the back of the transfer case?

Any idea where I can pick up a snap ring for the large input bearing for my 205? I swapped out the smaller 27 spline for the short 32 spline to go behind my 4l80e. Seems I've over looked getting the snap ring and now am on hold again on that until I can get one. I'll try the dealer tomorrow. But everything I have asked them about for the 205 seems to be discontinued.
