If you're that close to your router and your laptop is only at 4 bars, try changing the channel on your router.

GMail keeps showing a message. Why?
Published (2009-11-08 00:33:00)
My Gmail account icon keeps showing that I have 1 message. However, there are no messages in the inbox, no drafts, no saved messages. I thought perhaps it was a Facebook alert since that account is tied to Facebook, however there are no new posts or messages on Facebook. Is this somoething related to the Storm 2 and OS5? I never had this problem on my Curve.

If the LED us constantly blinking, it is probably the coverage indicator. you can disable it through "options/ screen keyboard/coverage indicator". Select OFF and all should be perfect.......hopefullt.

Man, It's never been advisable to install non-oficial, leaked versions of BB software. I think you may want to follow a few steps: Remove ur bb battery Plug in ur usb cable Start DM Click the update software link Follow the procedures Insert battery when prompted This will recover ur device software. After that, u may update it to the latest version. Mind you are going...

i had the same issue. go into the facebook ap and then click up at the top on the second icon from the top left or "notifications". you may get notifications there that will be in bold. once you get rid of those it may get rid of the notification. i wish there was a way to not get the notifications from FB at all but I havent found it yet. the options are limited on this with the app.

Question ... do you have Gmail Enhancement plug-in ? This is a common cause for this. Do the following: press alt+ lglg and you´ll get a list of all ocurrences on the BB. Hit x and the highlighted lettering signifies the error or errors - open and try and see what application is causing the problem.

I am using the 9530 Storm on TMO, and have been for about 2 weeks. So far I am pleased, and have had few issues. You will need to manually install certain service books if that has not already been done (not too difficult and there is plenty of help here) I do not use the navigator so I cannot comment on that...any other specific concerns?

Have you checked your saved messages folder to make sure there isn't anything in there? Also, are you using any weather application? It took me awhile to figure out but with BerryWeather, if there is a weather advisory, do don't see any kind of notification icon, but the LED blinks to let you know there is an alert.
