Hi all, I'm new to this forum, so excuse me if this has been discussed or if I'm in the wrong spot. I'm looking to backup my DVD's to a 500GB SATA Hard Disk. I don't have a problem ripping the DVD's to the Hard disk as ISO or VOB files, I just want a HDD Media Player to play/store my DVD ISO's onto to use as a virtual DVD changer. Do any of you own a HDD Media Players? I've seen ...

I want to backup some DVDs but I want to do it using dual layer DVDs. I've done a couple of test burns but all of them failed in that it cannot be read on my dvd player. Only my dvd drive can read it. Do you guys know of any way of doing a backup successfully? I don't want to experiment on different methods because the media is so expensive. Thanks!

You'll need to experiment with different combinations of software to find out what works. In any case, consider burning to ISO first and look for software to run the ISO to see if the movie plays properly.
